Museum of Art Fort Collins
The Museum of Art Fort Collins (MOA) at 201 S. College Ave., will open several new spaces to the public on Friday, March 3, during the opening of the 19th annual Eye Center of Northern Colorado Masks Fundraiser and Exhibition.
The museum also has announced free and reduced admission strategies to increase access, including free admission for all children/students under 18, for students at Colorado State University and Front Range Community College; for school field trips within Poudre School District boundaries, for active and retired military personnel and their families and for all SNAP recipients.
Free memberships will be available for social service agencies that serve traditionally underrepresented communities
“We are so pleased to be changing our service model to become more inclusive and create a sense of belonging for all members of the community through MOA for All.” Lisa Hatchadoorian, executive director, said in a news release.
“We are counting on community support to help us make this vision a reality,” Elizabeth Martin, director of strategy and development, added. “It really is the only way to break down the barriers to accessibility to the arts.”
The Masks exhibit features 221 masks designed by artists, which will be sold through an online auction at https://fly.causepilot.com/moafc/masks2023 to support the museum and its programming.
Also going on display will be “Naida Seibel: Celebration of an Artist,” which features the Fort Collins artist whose work ranges from ceramics, clay masks and painting to portraiture and sculpture.
Both exhibits run through May 5.
The museum is open 10 a.m.-5 p.m. on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays; at 10 a.m.-7 p.m. on Fridays and noon to 5 p.m. on Sundays, and is closed Mondays and Tuesdays.
Admission is $10 for adults; $8 for students with ID and seniors (over 67) and free for all under 18.
