Cache la Poudre grants go to five regional projects

The Cache la Poudre River National Heritage Area has awarded nearly $30,000 to local and regional partners for community benefiting projects in 2024.

The Community Projects program aims to honor the history and culture of the Cache la Poudre River and its people, according to a news release. Grants included:

• $8,000 to Historic Larimer County for the Emma Malaby Grocery Preservati­on Plan.

• $6,497 to Colorado State University for Poudre Trail History, Interpreti­ve Recommenda­tions and Story Map.

• $5,000 a year for three years for a total of $15,000 to the Coalition for the Poudre River Watershed for Lower Cache Priority Reach.

• $7,500 to the Poudre Landmarks Foundation for the 1883 Water Works Open House Series.

• $1,000 to the town of Windsor Museums for Interpreti­ve Sign Standards and Guidelines for Windsor Historical Sites, Open Spaces and Trails.
