Malvern Cruise Night

The next Malvern Cruise Night event is scheduled today, September 19 from 5 to 10 p.m. The cruise night location is 1400 E Page, the old Walmart and bowling alley location. For more informatio­n and up dates, the public can go online on Facebook to Cruise Nite in Malvern.

Malvern/HSC Library

Today, September 19, the Malvern/Hot Spring County Library will have Talk Like A Pirate Day beginning at 9 am until 12 Noon. Watch our social media for a special contest. There is some really awesome loot involved. Next week, September 22 through 26 the public may receive free comic books. Stop by the library and pick up your free comic book by using our curbside service.

Gospel Concert

Grace, Mercy & Peace is putting on a Gospel Concert. The JJ Hill Family, Christian Country Connection and the Garret Sister & Friends Gospel Band will be performing their own brands of Gospel Music on Saturday, October 15, from 1 to 5 p.m. This is a free event, bring your own chair. It will be held under the pavilion at Malvern City Park, on the big stage. We do request all to pay attention to your own trash- there are cans available. No concession­s, but we will have canned drinks for sale.

Central Gospel Lighthouse Church Central Gospel Lighthouse church will be hosting a revival, with Greg Reed, residing October 2-4 at 6 p.m. nightly.

Malvern School District

The regular scheduled meeting of the Malvern School Board will be held Monday, September 21 at 6:30 p.m.

Magnet Cove School District The regular scheduled meeting of the Magnet Cove School Board will be held Monday, September 21 at 6 p.m. in the High School Library.

Ouachit School District

The regular scheduled meeting of the Ouachita School Board will be held Monday, September 21 at 6 p.m.

Bismarck School District

The regular scheduled meeting of the Bismarck School Board will be held Monday, September 21 at 5 p.m.

Malvern Area Kiwanis

Every second Thursday of the month, the Malvern Area Kiwanis holds their monthly meetings at Coffee Records. The community is invited to attend.

Christmas on the Courthouse

Square Fundraiser Oct.2

The Hot Spring County Courthouse Christmas committee has planned a Dorey’s drive-through fish fry fundraiser for October 2 beginning at 11 a.m until 1 p.m. at the Hot Spring County Fairground­s.

Tickets are $12 and may be purchased at the mayor’s office Hot Spring County Cooperativ­e Extension Service office, treasurer’s office at the courthouse, Malvern Mercantile, Malvern Insurance and

Farmers Bank and Trust on East Page Ave. The fundraiser is to help purchase christmas decoration­s for the courthouse.

Harp Cemetery

The Harp Cemetery Associatio­n is seeking donations. Donations may be mailed to Steve Williams at 2403 Dyer St., Malvern, AR 72104. For more informatio­n, call (501) 332-5431.

Roundhill Cemetery

The May 9, 2020 meeting of the Roundhill Cemetery Associatio­n has been cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. We will meet October 10, 2020, 10:30AM as scheduled.

Damascus Cemetery Damascus Cemetery on Lee Road (off Highway) is in need of donations for the purpose of maintainin­g the cemetery and its property.

Donations or memorials may be made to Damascus Cemetery Associatio­n and mailed to Doris Herring, P.O. Box 196, Donaldson, AR 71941.
