Plan for the trip (Part 1)

- Vernon Maupin Guest Columnist Vernon Maupin is the husband of Doris Walters Maupin, Pastor of Tabernacle of Praises.

Going on a vacation trip, you wouldn’t make your hotel reservations, service the car, pack your clothes and travel needs, visit the ATM, head out, and then realize that you failed to schedule vacation time at your job. Events which God has planned for the future of the world likewise will come to pass in an order so that successive events make way for later events.

This and next week’s letters address scheduled events, looking at the future from a last-to-first perspective. Please pardon me for condensing a lot of information into two letters.

#25 Eternal life in immortal bodies in New Jerusalem for those deemed worthy on Judgment Day to eternally be neighbors with YəhohWAH God and Yeshua Jesus Christ (Revelation chapters 21-22). Preparing for that... #24 God’s city, Heavenly Jerusalem (Hebrews 12:22) will descend (Revelation 21:2-5) to earth and merge with Israel’s Earthly Jerusalem, forming New Jerusalem. #23 Planet earth must first be cleansed by fire (2 Peter 3:10-13; Isaiah 65:17; 66:22; Revelation 21:1) and be made like new. But first...

#22 After Judgment Day, Eternal Hell (Revelation 20:14-15) in the Lake of Fire will become home for all whom YəhohWAH God deems unworthy of heaven. God will have made that decision at the #21 White Throne Judgment (Revelation 20:11-15; Daniel 7:9-10) both for spirits of departed unrighteous held in she’OHWL-HAHdeys (today’s hell: Luke 16:23-31), and for mortal Millennial Kingdom citizens who don’t follow Satan when he’s released (event #19). Judgment for mankind is preceded by #20 Judgment of Devils (Revelation 20:10; 2 Peter 2:4; Jude 1:6), when they are at last cast into the Lake of Fire. Before being judged, Satan will tempt men one final time, causing the #19 Final War (Revelation 20:7-9) at the end of Jesus Christ’s Millennial Kingdom on earth.

Continuing back through time brings us to the #18 Millennial Kingdom (Revelation 20:4-6) when Yeshua Jesus Christ, with his immortal elect saints, reign over mortal Tribulation Era survivors and their offspring. At the onset of his Kingdom, the #17 βῆμα BEYmah Judgment Seat of Christ determines elect saints’ rewarded positions in the Kingdom according to their past works (Revelation 22:12; 2 Timothy 4:1; 1 John 2:28; Matthew 16:27; 1 Corinthians 3:13-15; Romans 14:10-12; 2 Corinthians 5:10; Colossians 3:23-24; Ephesians 6:6-8; 2 John 1:8; 2 Timothy 4:8). Likewise at the beginning of Christ’s Kingdom, #16 Expulsion of Tribulation Era survivors unworthy of the Kingdom (Matthew 13:49-50; 25:31-46): they will be booted out. On that day, #15 Satan will be bound in chains for the 1,000-year duration of Christ’s Millennial Kingdom on earth (Revelation 20:1-3). Christ’s Kingdom will follow the #14 Battle of Ἁρμαγεδών HahrmagedOHN (Armageddon: Revelation 16:16; 19:1721; 2 Thessalonians 2:8-9; Ezekiel ch 38,39; Zechariah 14:1-15). In that battle at the end of the Tribulation Era, Jesus Christ and his immortal army of saints rid Israel of the Beast and False Prophet and their armies. Armageddon happens on the day of the...

#13 Παρουσία pahrouSIah (paroo-SEE-ah) Second Advent (2 Thessalonians 2:1; Revelation 19:11-16; Luke 21:27) return of Jesus Christ from heaven to earth with his army of immortal elect saints (Revelation 19:8,14; 17:14; Jude 1:14; Zechariah 14:5). Earlier on the day of Christ’s Second Advent, the #12 Marriage of the Lamb (Revelation 19:1-10) “after these [Tribulation Era] things ...in heaven” (Revelation 19:1). All immortal elect saints in heaven will be ceremonially “made one” (John 17:21) with Yeshua Jesus Christ at our ἐπισυναγωγή episunagohGEY (epee-soon-ag-oh-GAY) “gathering together unto him” (2 Thessalonians 2:1).

All whose names are recorded in God’s Book of Life are scheduled to enjoy these blessings of his future plans.

At their conception, names of babies are recorded in God’s book (Matthew 18:3-4). Adults who become born again and wisely choose to follow Christ keep our names from being blotted out of that book (Exodus 32:33).
