Wilburn Earl Cupit

Wilburn Earl Cupit, age 90, of Poyen, AR, passed away on January 2,2021. Wilburn was the son of the late Zeleba and Martha Cupit. Wilburn was a logger for many years, he was known to sale a few watermelons and sweet potatoes out of the back of his truck. He was a loving father and husband, who was devoted to his family and friends. Wilburn will be missed by all who knew him.

Wilburn is survived by his son; Kenneth Earl Cupit (Mary) his daughter; Karen Sue Earnest (Michael) his grandchildren; William Cupit (Laura), Mickey Earnest (Marie), Rickey Earnest (Kami), Rachel Cruz (Armando) and his great grandchildren; Victoria Negron, Saphira Earnest, Lillian Cupit, Michael Cupit, James Cupit, Rylie Cruz, Alyvia Cruz, and Memphis Cruz.

He is preceded in death by his parents and his wife L. Juanita Benning. Also, his brothers and sisters; Zeleba and Martha Cupit (parents) brothers; Odis Cupit; Tommy Cupit; Arzo Cupit, and David Cupit. His sisters; Eva Holmes; Louise Emmons; Faye Brantley; Joyce Henderson, and Dovie Cupit.

Visitation will be held at Atkinson Funeral Home Chapel on January 6, 2021 at 6pm – 8pm.

Services will be held for Mr. Cupit on January 7, 2021 at 11am in the Atkinson Funeral Home Chapel with graveside services following immediately after at Philadelphia Cemetery in Prattsville, AR.

We will be following all CDC guidelines for this service. Social distancing and mask are required per CDC.
