Terrance Dewayne “Terry” Means

Terrance Dewayne “Terry” Means aka T-Bone was born October 10, 1966, in Malvern, Arkansas, to Charlene Barker Moore and Thurman Means.

On May 30, 2020, in the comfort of his earthly home God called Terrance Dewayne Means to his Heavenly home to take his rest.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Charlene Moore and Thurman Means.

Terry leaves behind his wife Joyce Marie Means; two sons, Justin James (Raquel) of Alexander, Arkansas, and Deqaun Means of Houston, Texas; one daughter, Takessa Means of Houston, Texas; two grandchild­ren: Jaiden James and Gabrielle James; three brothers: Philander Means (Misty) of Hot Springs, Arkansas, Timothy Means (Pam) of Curtis, Arkansas and Brian Means (Cassandra) of Malvern; one sister, Angela Moore of Memphis, Texas and a host of other relative and friends.

There will be a Celebratio­n of Life service for Terrance on Thursday, June 4, 2020, at 10:00 am., on the lawn of Brandon’s Mortuary, in Malvern. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 3rd from 4:00 – 6:00 pm, at Brandon’s. Online guestbook: www.brandonsmo­rtuary.com.

James E. Kidder

James E. Kidder age 89 of Malvern passed away May 29, 2020. He was born May 13, 1931 in Malvern to Reamey and Cherrie Leap Kidder. He was a self-employed roofer. James was a member of the Nazarene Church in Hot Springs. In his early years James loved to fish. He loved to visit with folks, read books and his Bible and watch TV.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Chief Lloyd Anderson

Chief Lloyd Anderson (Retired), passed away June 2, 2020 at his home. He was born May 29, 1935 in Prattsvill­e to William “Bill” and Ruby Foster Anderson. Lloyd started working for the Malvern Fire Department in 1960 and promoted to Chief in 1982 and retired in 1995. After his retirement he worked for Food Center for 20 years. Lloyd was a United States Army Veteran. He loved to do jig saw puzzles and read. Lloyd was of the Baptist faith. Other than his parents he was preceded in death by his siblings: Bill, Gene, J.D., Robert, Chuck, Patricia, and Kathy and his granddaugh­ter Morgan Anderson.

Survivors include his wife Mary Perkins Anderson to whom he Married on February 20, 1961 for 59 years, son: Stephen (Michelle) Anderson of Malvern, daughter: Jan (Stuart) Hart of Tulsa OK, brother: Freddy (Linda) Anderson of Malvern, sisters: Carolyn Helms of Malvern, Mary Harding and Martha (Phillip) Stiles all of Chidester AR, sister-in-law Alice Horne of Branson MO, grandchild­ren: Dusty (Jennifer) Hart, Dakota (Aspen) Hart, Gregory Anderson and Garrett Anderson and 5 great grandchild­ren.

A walk-through visitation will be held Thursday June 4, from 4pm to 8pm at Regency Funeral Home Chapel. The family will be there from 6-8pm under the carport to greet people. Due to Covid-19, social distancing is required at all times.

Graveside services will be Friday June 5, 10:00am at Francois Cemetery with Bro. Ricky Meeks officiatin­g. Pallbearer­s will be the Malvern Fire Department. Also honors will be by the Malvern Fire Department Honor Guard.

James Howard Lock Jr.

James Howard Lock Jr. AKA “Wolf” was born on July 18, 1977 in Little Rock, AR to the parentage of James Lock Sr. and Wanda Pryor.

James attended Malvern Public Schools graduating in the class of 1996. During his time in school, he was an accomplish­ed athlete excelling in football and the long jump. After high school he went on to play football on the collegiate level for the University of Central Arkansas.

Wolf was a well known and respected barber throughout the community. He never met a stranger and would give his last to help those in need. He was a loving and devoted father, grandfathe­r, brother, and friend. Wolf was also a natural born comedian that loved to entertain anyone he came in contact with.

He is preceded in death by his father James Lock Sr., his paternal grandfathe­r Ona Lock, and his maternal grandparen­ts Office and Bobbie Jean Morgan.

Left to cherish his memory is his mother, Wanda Pryor and paternal grandmothe­r Vivian Lock of Malvern, AR.; sons Jaquez and Jacolby Lock of Malvern, AR. ; daughters Jaciah and Olivia Lock of Malvern, AR.; grandson Jelijah Lock of Malvern, AR.; sisters Calandra Lock Fraser (Jahnell) and Tiffany Toney (Javon) all of Malvern, AR.; brothers Morgan and Ezekiel Lock of Malvern, AR, and Jacob Lock of Portland, OR. and a host of family and friends. Charles Ray “Chuck” Hall

Charles Ray “Chuck” Hall, age 53, of Magnet Cove, passed away Thursday, June 4, 2020 at his home. He was born August 17, 1966 in Cairo, Illinois the son of the late Charles and Joyce Marie Reed Hall. Chuck enjoyed hunting, fishing and trapping. He was of the Southern Baptist faith. Other than his parents, he is preceded in death by his mother-in-law, Nellie Milburn.

Survivors, wife of 33 years, Ramona Milburn Hall of Magnet Cove; son, Justin Hall (Kayla) of Magnet Cove; daughter, Jessica Montgomery (Dylan) of Malvern; brothers, Kurt Belote (Donna) of Fountain Lake and Clinton Hall of Magnet Cove; sisters, Deborah Watson of Malvern and Crystal Hall of Magnet Cove; grandchild­ren, Braxton Hall, Jace Hall, Jerritt Hall, Brayden

Marie Cash Ballentine

Marie Cash Ballentine, age 68, of Glen Rose passed away Thursday June 4, 2020. She was born December 5, 1951 in Saline County. Marie was a retired nurse at CHI St. Vincent and a member of Fairplay Missionary Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Bob and Lorene Bryant Cash, son, Richard Allen Crook, her husband, Phillip Gary Crook, sister, Floy Jean Zeno.

Survivors, husband, Ronald Truman Ballentine, son and daughter-in-law, Robert Andrew (LaNell Thornton) Crook, step-son, Ronald Mark (Tasha) Ballentine, step-daughter, Lynn Jackson, sister, Dorothy Morgan, seven grandchild­ren.

She leaves behind many loving nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends along with her beloved Fairplay Community.

Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Tuesday at Ashby’s.

Funeral services will be 10:00 AM Wednesday at Fairplay Missionary Baptist Church with burial at Fairplay Cemetery. Ministers will be Kenneth Mitchell and Mark Thornton.

James Franklin Langley

James Franklin Langley, 89, of Malaga, a former longtime Portland, Oregon resident who descended from Malvern, Arkansas, passed away on April 27, 2020 in Wenatchee, Washington.

James was born on July 15, 1930 in Malvern, Arkansas to the late Hughie R. and Nellie A. (Paul) Langley.

James Langley was a man of many talents and many names. Most people knew him as James or Jim; but he also went by Duke, Mark/ Marcus, Jimmy, Capitan Kind, The Fat Man, Jimmy Dollar; and to all his grandkids, he was known as Papo, Papa, and Grandpa.

James Franklin Langley service his county in the U.S. Navy and later in the U.S. Air Force.

On April 18th, 1965, James was married to Virginia May Hammer in Vancouver, Washington. In 2001, James retired. James and Virginia continued to make their home in Portland until moving to Malaga, Washington in 2015, to be near their daughter.

James is survived by his wife of 55 years: Virginia May Langley; his children: James “Michael” Picket of Colorado, James Robert Langley of Colorado, James Richard Langley (James Acune Smith) of Colorado, Angela Constance Langley of Nevada, Jeanette Robin of Nevada, Robin Annette Morris of Malaga, Washington, and Christina M Kasper of Missouri; his brother: William R Langley of California; and his sister: Linda Gail McNeal of Texas; as well as ten grandchild­ren and fifteen great-grandchild­ren with one due in June.

James is preceded in death by his parents: Hugie and Nelli Langley; his brother: Paul Langley; and daughter: Debbie Catherine Ray Langley Barsay.

Margaret “Mimi” Lee Cothren

Margaret “Mimi” Lee Cothren age 76 of Malvern passed away on Saturday June 6, 2020. She was born May 11, 1944 to Elmer and Helen Price Gray. Others than her parents she was preceded in death by her brother Edward Gray.

Margaret was a graduate of Malvern High School, and later went to work as a beautician. After a few years, she began to work as a dispatcher and jailer for the HSC Sheriff’s office in 1974 and then in June of 1977 for Malvern Police Department where she worked until her retirement in June of 1999.

Margaret met her true love, Bill Cothren, at Mel’s Dairy Bar and they were married on June 16, 1969. This year they would have celebrated 52 years of harmonious marriage. Bill and Margaret had two children, J D and Kathy Cothren. Margaret also had two grandchild­ren, Kailey and Molly Reeves who were the lights of her life.

A few of her favorite activities included: deer hunting, helping her husband with the farm, trips to casinos, in most cases losing her money at slot machines, shopping at flea markets, tending to her extravagan­t flower beds, any activity involving her granddaugh­ters and most importantl­y, giving those she loved a hard time.

For those who knew Margaret, it is known that she was an extremely adventurou­s woman. She love to roller skate and water ski, and she was always known to be doing some adventurou­s activity even in her older age. She cared deeply for every person in her life and worked to help everyone she had the ability to help. Margaret lived a life full of joy and will be remembered as the beautiful soul that she was.

Margaret is survived by her husband Bill Cothren, her two children JD Cothren and Kathy Reeves, her two grandchild­ren: Kailey and Molly Reeves, and her siblings:

Richard Gray, Wanda Gray and Harold Gray.

Beth Wilson

Beth Wilson, age 79, of Malvern passed away Thursday, June 4, 2020 at Encore Nursing and Rehab. She was born May 24, 1941, in Dublin, Texas, the daughter of Luther Darrell and Allie Pauline Cook Jones. Beth enjoyed crafting, quilting and decorating. She was of the Methodist faith. Other than her parents, she is preceded in death by brothers, Kenneth Jones and Garry Jones and sister, Paula Mulloy.

Survivors, son, Stephen Wilson (Tracy) of Rockport; daughters, Sandra Hodges (LB) of Dublin, Texas and Susan Hughes (Earl) of Malvern and Debra Dixon (Bob) of Owens, Texas; brother, Travis Jones of Dublin, Texas; sister, Kathy Schrimsher (William) of Selden, Texas; twelve grandsons, two granddaugh­ters, numerous great-grandchild­ren, nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held Friday, June 12 at 2:00pm at Cooper Cemetery with Brother Ricky Meeks officiatin­g.

The family would like to give a special thanks to the nurses and staff at Encore Nursing and Rehab for their loving care.

Barbara A. Weatherwax

Barbara A. Weatherwax, age 65 of Malvern, died Tuesday, June 2, 2020 at her home. She was born on July 22, 1954 in Muskogee, Oklahoma to Irene Ray Hammans and the late John L. Hammans. Reared and educated in Oklahoma, she had a varied career: she was a truck driver, a waitress and cook, worked in constructi­on, managed gas stations, broke and trained horses, and bred and raised chihuahuas and poodles. In her “spare” time, she loved to read and watch T.V.

She is survived by her mother, Irene McDonald of California, a brother, Billy Joe Hammans of Oklahoma; and two half-sisters, Fonda Lee Rose Golding and Donna Fowler, both of California.

Barbara was also preceded in death by two brothers and three sisters.

Thomas Terrall McHenry

Thomas Terrall McHenry, age 80, passed away May 29, 2020, in Fort Worth, Texas.

He was born on December 10, 1939, in Malvern, Arkansas to Joseph “Joe” Wylie McHenry and Geneva Inez Woodall McHenry.

Tom, aka Terry, was a 1957 graduate of Malvern High School, studied at University of Arkansas and was a veteran of the United States Navy. He worked at Computer Sciences Corporatio­n.

He is survived by his wife, Donna M. Smith McHenry, to whom he married on May 2, 1959; his daughter, Teresa McHenry Hill and husband Jerry Hill; his grandchild­ren, Todd Hill, Amie Hill Ramsey and husband Jeremy, and Geneva McHenry, his great-grandson, Seth all of Texas. His Arkansas family is his sister, Jo McHenry Gregory and husband Johnny Gregory, of Malvern, Arkansas, and nieces Robin Gregory and Jody Gregory of Arkansas. He is also survived by many cousins and other family he has met through his genealogy research.

He was preceded in death by his parents and by a son, Ronald Joseph “R. J.” McHenry.

A celebratio­n of life was to be held at a later date.

Alisa Renee Davis Walsh

On September 22, 1972, Alisa Renee Davis Walsh was born to her loving parents, Ray Davis and Alice Davis Lowry in Malvern, Arkansas. Alisa departed this life on June 5, 2020, at 48 years young.

Although Alisa’s caring parents preceded her in death, she leaves many others to cherish her memory. Her stepfather, Robert Lowry who she loved very much. Her children: Khristen Choice (Johnathan), Jordan Owens (Caitlyn), and Amia Walsh will always remember her limitless love. Her siblings: Gregory Broughton (Pricilla), Eric Broughton Sr., Carolyn Fusilier, and Anthony Davis. Her grandchild­ren: Khalil Owens, Ye’Kijah Choice, Tahiry Choice, McKenzie Choice, Kyrie Owens and a host of family and friends who will miss her laughter and fun times but cherish the memories made.

Buckholz Quintuplet­s

Infants, Patience Rain, Elijah David, Phoebe Marie, and Piper Nicole Buckholz joined the Lord on April 26, 2020, shortly after their birth. They were survived by their quintuplet brother, Asher Lance Buckholz who joined them with the Lord on May 18, 2020. The quintuplet­s are survived by their parents; Kimberly Marie Buckholz and Jeremy Dale Buckholz of Malvern, AR., ten brothers, two sisters. Grandparen­ts: Frank and Barbara Keisler of Rockport, AR. and Ron Buckholz and Brenda Stanley of Malvern, AR.

Dorothy A. Deer

Dorothy A. Deer, age 89, of Malvern, died Friday, June 12, 2020. She was born on June 10, 1931 in Leola, Arkansas to the late Edwin E. Elliott and Gladys Estelle Futch Elliott. Reared and receiving her early education in Leola, Dorothy had a long and varied career: she did artwork a the Arkansas Democrat, was a freelancer for the Jacksonvil­le News, did ads and artwork for the Arkansas Gazette, worked for Arkansas Power and Light from 1973 to 1991, and was a realtor until she retired in 1996. Dorothy was a loving wife, grandmothe­r, great-grandmothe­r, and friend. She was the widow of the late Lewis H. “Buddy” Deer, to whom she was married on August 23, 1952 in Carthage, Arkansas. He preceded her in death on December 11, 2013.

She is survived by two daughters, Donna Baker and her husband, Derek, of Malvern, and Diana Tennant of Dallas, Texas; four grandchild­ren, Carla Priebe and her husband, John, Caitlyn Tennant, Brock Baker, and Bri Anah Avery and her hus

band, Jo; five great-grandchild­ren, Jace, Carson, and BryLea Priebe, Eli Avery, Liam Avery, and one on the way; and by one great-greatgrand­son.

Dorothy was also preceded in death by a grandson, Maverick Jones, and by two brothers.

Graveside services at Leola Cemetery will be at ten o’clock Monday morning, June 15, 2020 with Brother Gary Smith officiatin­g, and under the direction of J. A. Funk Funeral Home.

Pallbearer­s are Danny Riggan, Gary Dodd, Donnie Baker, and J. D. Cothren.

Honorary pallbearer­s are Heather Smith, Tracy Adylotte, Charlesa Black, and members of Faith Missionary Baptist Church.

Steven Neil Matthews (Steve)

Steven Neil Matthews (Steve) age 63 of Traskwood, died Sunday June 14, 2020 at Little Rock Hospice. Prior to his passing Steve battled metastatic pancreatic cancer at the home of his brother and caregiver, Scott Matthews in Traskwood, AR.

Steve was born December 19, 1956 in Malvern AR to the late Billy Joe and Marvel (Morin) Matthews. After graduating from Glen Rose High School in 1975, Steve pursued a career as a very talented welder and ironworker, where he was a proud member of the United Ironworker­s Union 321. He was a member of Fairplay Missionary Baptist Church. Steve was an outgoing, fun loving man who loved nothing better than spending time outdoors gardening, fishing, turkey and deer hunting.

Steve’s children with former spouse Robin Pelton (Ramsey), Tami Hawkins (Matthews) and Jason Matthews brought much joy to his life. They gave his four wonderful grandsons, Blake, Kaleb, Hunter and Landon.

Steve is preceded in death by his parents, Billy Joe Mathews and Marvel Mae McMaster (Morin), his grandparen­ts William and Myrtie (Gray) Matthews and Harry and Pauline (Hanson) Morin.

Steve is survived by one daughter and son in-law Tami Matthews Hawkins and Robin of Haskell, son and daughter in-law Jason Matthews (Chrissy Johnson) of Benton, for grandsons: Blake Hawkins, Kaleb Matthews, Hunter Hawkins and Landon Matthews. Additional­ly he is survived by one brother Scott Matthews (Karen Berryhill) of Traskwood, two sisters: Paula Beaty Wacaster (Russ) of Hot Springs and Lois Beaty Russell of Benton, numerous nieces and nephews who dearly loved their uncle Steve O, as well as a host of cousins, aunts and uncles.

The family would like to off special thanks to close family friend, Stacy Edwards who provided Steve with such loving care in his final days as well as Hospice Home Care and hospice nurse Miss Kim.

Graveside services will be held Tuesday June 16, at 1:30pm at Ouachita Cemetery in Donaldson AR., with Tyler Smith officiatin­g. Honorary pallbearer­s will be Brian Matthews, Freddy Sharp, John Robbins, David Baxley and Elbert Wilson. Following the graveside the family will hold a visitation at the home of Tami Hawkins in Haskell, AR.

Michael Jimerson

Michael Jimerson, age 48, of Benton passed away Saturday, June 13, 2020 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born May 13, 1972 in Jacksonvil­le, Texas the son of David and Gail Wells Jimerson. He was a graduate of Waldo High School in Waldo, AR., attended Southern Arkansas University, and served in the Ministry for many years, with being a Charter member of the Collective Church in Bryant where he served as an Elder, Finance Ministry Leader and Worship Team Bass Guitarist.He was preceded in death by his Grandparen­ts, Odessa and Lester Wells and Bert Jimerson and Grandmothe­r-in-law, Roxie Alston.

Survivors his wife, Kasey Alston Jimerson to whom he married April 21, 2012, Son, Brayden Jimerson of Conway, daughters, Kaylee Jimerson of Cabot and Claire Jimerson of Benton, his parents, David and Gail Jimerson of Jacksonvil­le, TX., Sisters, Shanna Sitton (husband Daniel) of Jacksonvil­le, TX., and Stacey Jeffress (husband Geoff) of Rawlins, WY., Grandmothe­r, Allie Faye Busby of Jacksonvil­le, TX., and Father and Mother-in-law Glenn and Marsha Alston, and Grandfathe­r-in-law, Billy Alston all of Malvern and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be at 2pm Tuesday, June 16, at Collective Church in Bryant 3230 Market Place Avenue with visitation to be from 1pm until service time at the church. Brother P.J. Noland will officiate. Burial will follow in Lone Hill Cemetery in Malvern. Pallbearer­s are Jimmy Elrod, Brandon Brumley, Zach Cahall, Shane Harrington, Chris Doggett, Matt Gipson and Justin Harrell. Brian Keith Thompson

Brian Keith Thompson aka “Shufffield or Shuff” in his 53rd season of life passed away unexpected­ly on Monday, June 8, 2020, in St Louis, MO.

He was born August 7, 1966, in Hot Springs and was loved and nurtured by his mother, Nancy Thompson, and Frank Tops. He was the youngest of three brothers. He was preceded in death by his wife, Jacqueline “Jackie” Jordan Thompson (2018); his mother and bonus father, Nancy Thompson Dedmon (2019), and M.T. Dedmon (2006), and several close relatives.

Brian was a graduate of

Hot Springs High School Class of 1984 where he excelled in football. He attended Bishop College in Dallas, TX. In his early years, he attended Nazarene Baptist Church. He later became a member of the Gospel Mission Church of God in Christ where he was ordained as a deacon. He had a longtime career with the Job Corps System in Royal, AR, Frenchburg, KY, and Puxico, MO.

Rev. Calve Cooper age 82, of Redfield passed on, Tuesday, June 9, 2020.

Calve attended school at AA Wilson High School in Malvern, AR.

He was a member of Davis Creek Baptist Church and a former pastor of Mt Zion Baptist Church, Grapevine, AR, and Shiloh Baptist Church, Sheridan, AR. He served as the Moderator for the Jefferson Spring District for 24 years.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Levi and Philistine Lambert Cooper; two daughters, Erica and Chandra Cooper; two sisters, Cloria Cooper Fletcher, and Palistine Cooper; one grandson, Jeffery Antwan Cooper.

Survivors include his beloved wife of 60 years, Lula Jeanne Jones Cooper; his children, Jeffrey (Alfreda) Cooper, and Dedire (Kabsha) Fisher; six grandchild­ren, and one great-grandson; siblings, Bishop Alcine (Jeanette) Cooper, Wilbur (Flutie) Cooper, Flossie Walker, Rosetta (Henry Louis) Junior, and Elizabeth( Secre) McNutt; a host of nieces, nephews, in-laws, and extended family and friends.

Velma Jean Gray

Velma Jean Gray age 73 of Malvern, Arkansas completed her journey and transition­ed on June 9, 2020. Velma was born on January 29, 1947 in Little Rock, Arkansas to Thomas C. and Ida Mae Smith who preceded her in death.

Velma was preceded in death by her parents, maternal grandparen­ts Jonah and Reba Avery, paternal grandparen­ts, Tom and Ophelia Smith, one daughter that was the light of her life, Julia Hart, son James Campbell, and a brother James Edward “Pop” Smith.

Velma leaves to cherish her memories her grandson Raul Hart that was also the light of her life, sisters: Carolyn Hill and Theresa Smith of Malvern, Arkansas; Brothers: Alan Wayne (Desiree) Smith of Frisco Texas and Marvelton Smith of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; Special Niece Sasha Smith of Malvern, Arkansas, Aunt Pauline Goodson of Los Angeles, CA and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Terrel Dean Huneycutt

Terrel Dean Huneycutt, of Round Rock, Texas, went to be with his Lord and Savior on the morning of June 13, 2020. He was preceded in death by his loving wife Nellie Frances Kingrey. He was born July 1, 1926 near Manchester township, Arkansas. He was the youngest of fifteen children of the late Leonard and Annie Huneycutt of Manchester, Arkansas. He married Nellie on December 26, 1953. He lived most of his married live in Dallas, Texas until his relocation to Round Rock, Texas in 2013. He and Nellie were faithful members of the First Primitive Baptist Church of Dallas, Texas.

He is survived by one son: Steven (Yvonne) Huneycutt of Round Rock, Texas. Three Grandchild­ren: Keith (Barbara) Schultz of Hot Springs, Arkansas; Carl Schultz, and Cindy Schultz Knoerr Wheeler (Todd) of Social Hill, Arkansas. Four great grandchild­ren: Kasey (Rebecca) Schultz, Ryan Schultz, Ethan (Mekayla) Schultz, and Zachary Schultz. One great-great grandchild: Evan Schultz, and one soon to be born great-great grandchild. He was preceded in death by six sisters and eight brothers.

The family will receive visitors at Ruggles Wilcox Funeral Home, Arkadelphi­a, Arkansas on Sunday, June 21, 2020 from 5-7 pm. Graveside services will be held on Monday June 22, 2020 at 11 am at the Macedonia Cemetery near Dalark, Arkansas and will be officiated by Elder Gary Harvey, with interment to follow.

Floyd M. “Hammer” Matthews

Floyd M. “Hammer” Mathews, Sr., age 78, of Malvern, died Tuesday, June 16, 2020 in Hot Springs. He was born on October 17, 1941 in Marshall, Arkansas to the late Ira A. Mathews and Thelda Mae Bearden Mathews. Reared and educated in Huntsville, Arkansas, Mr. Mathews served in the United States Army. He was a master diesel mechanic, and spent many years as a truck driver, most recently as a cement hauler. He was an avid deer hunter, and enjoyed spending time in the woods with his hunting buddies, especially with his son, Buck. Mr. Mathews was the widower of the late Brenda Mathews, to whom he was married on March 5, 1967 in Englewood, Colorado. She preceded him in death on April 19, 2015. He was a member of Pleasant Valley Missionary Baptist Church.

Survivors include: his son, Floyd “Buck” Mathews, Jr. of Michigan; his daughters, Kimberly Edmonds and her husband, Ed, of Glen Rose; Melissa Roscher of Glen Rose; and Alisha Kelley of Houston, Texas; by 11 grandchild­ren, and eight great-grandchild­ren.

Mr. Mathews was also preceded in death by eight siblings.

A graveside service will be held at eleven o’clock Friday morning, June 19, 2020 at Fairplay Cemetery with Brother Doug Rickles officiatin­g and under the direction of J. A. Funk Funeral Home.

Pallbearer­s will be: Shane J. Mathews, Ed Edmonds, Steven Franks, Joe Bennett, Richard Bennett, and Steve Michael.

Jennifer Victoria McKinnon

Jennifer Victoria McKinnon, age 45, of Malvern, died Monday, June 15, 2020.

She was born on June 11, 1975, in Hot Springs, the daughter of James Murders and Patsy Ward Murders. On February 3, 2017, she married Eric McKinnon.

In 1993, Jennifer graduated from Mountain Pine High School and she worked as receptioni­st for Suburban Propane in Malvern.

She is survived by her husband, Eric McKinnon of Malvern; her son, Ethan Robertson of Mountain Pine; her parents, James and Patsy Murders of Mountain Pine; her sister and brother-inlaw, Christy and Derek Suit of Bauxite; two nephews, Zachary Suit and Josh Suit; numerous extended family members and a host of wonderful friends.

Graveside services will be held at 10:00 AM, Friday, June 19, 2020, in the Ward Edition Cemetery, near Mountain Pine with Bro. Joe Thompson officiatin­g.

Bonnie Ruth (Ross) Burrow

Bonnie Ruth (Ross) Burrow, age 80 of Poyen passed away Sunday June 21, 2020 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born August 19, 1939 in Willow, Arkansas the daughter of Wesley Crose and Pauline May Walton Fite. She attended Ashland High School in Louisiana. She married Troy F. Ross on June 10, 1958 in Houston, TX. Bonnie was a homemaker and a member of the Poyen Missionary Baptist Church. She enjoyed sewing, gardening, cooking and being with family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband of 31 years, Troy F. Ross, one sonin-law, Stephen Dale Roach, and Great-grandson, Syrus Gutierrez.

Survivors are daughters, Penny Bonnette (Ross) Roach of Greenville, TX., and Patty Sue (Ross) May (husband Franklin May Jr.) of Poyen, four granddaugh­ters, Hollie Gutierrez of Greenville, Chasity Wallace (husband Jay) of Glen Rose, Felicia Luna (husband Jeremy) of Greenville, and Leslie Cordell (husband Andrew) of Malvern, Nine Great-grandchild­ren, Lane, Tiger, Austin, Chloe, Kassie, Jaxon, Halle, Thatcher, and Jace, Five brothers and one sister, Truman Fite (wife Mary), Shirley Kervin (husband J.C.), Junior Fite (wife Penny), Kenny Fite (wife Judy) Jerry Fite (the late Ann Fite), and Terry Fite (wife Irma) and numerous nieces and nephews and extended family and friends.

Whitney Anne Draper, age 12, of Malvern passed away Saturday, June 20, 2020 at her home. She was born June 17, 2008, in Little Rock, the daughter of Joseph Ray and Jennifer Renae Mayhugh Draper. Whitney was a student at Poyen School District. She was on the honor roll and a member of the Poyen Elementary Math Club. She enjoyed drawing, riding her bicycle, archery and going to the gym with her dad. Whitney was preceded in death by her grandparen­ts, Jerry Buck and Patricia Mayhugh and Debbie Draper.
