Lucille Waite McMahan

Lucille Waite McMahan age 86, of Friendship, passed away Tuesday, June 23, 2020 at her home. She was preceded in death by her parents, and husband of sixty-nine years, James “Jim” McMahan on March 10, 2020.

Survivors are two sons, Phil (Shelia) McMahan and Steve (Teresa) McMahan all of Friendship; four grandchild­ren, Jessica McMahan, Holly (Grant) Davis, Amanda (Justin) Hine and Josh (Misty) McMahan; five great-grandchild­ren, Payton and Jackson Manning, Zakk and Anna Davis and Emma Hine; and one sister, Eileen Watson of Arkadelphi­a; several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be 10:00 AM until 2:00 PM Thursday, June 25, 2020 at Ruggles-Wilcox Funeral Home in Arkadelphi­a.

Graveside service will be 4:00 PM Thursday at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery with Bro. Kirk Gassman and Grant Davis officiatin­g. .

Marty Morgan

Marty Morgan, age 56, of Malvern passed away on Thursday, June 25, 2020. He was born December 5, 1963, in Hot Springs, the son of William Dan and Shirley Davis Morgan. Marty was of the Baptist faith and attended Third Baptist Church. He was a member of the Bee Hive bowlers. He is preceded in death by his grandparen­ts, W. R. “Bill” and Thelma Morgan and Oscar and Alpha Davis.

Survivors, parents, Dan and Shirley Morgan of Bismarck; aunt, Melissa Morgan Elrod (Garry) of Benton; cousins, Jonathan and Suzanne Elrod, Colby and Emily Elrod and Christian and Madeline Elrod Shelton and numerous friends.

Visitation will be held Friday, June 26 from 4:008:00pm at Regency Funeral Home.

Dalissa Racine Robinson

Behind her captivatin­g smile is the story of an amazing, beautiful young woman. And that smile is what all who knew her will most remember about Dalissa Racine Robinson who was born on May 9, 1993, at 4:18 a.m. to Nicole Francine Smith and David Dewayne Robinson at National Park Hospital in Hot Springs, Arkansas. At the same time she was born, 4:18 a.m., God called home an angel, on June 24, 2020,

In addition to her parents, Dalissa leaves to cherish her memories, maternal grandfathe­r, Ozzie B Smith, Sr. “Papa” (Malvern); her paternal grandmothe­r, Linda Ann Smith Milton Braggs (Hot Springs); and siblings, Brendan and Macy Crites (Hot Springs), Christian Caradine (Grand Prairie, Texas), and David II and Davionne Robinson (Prattsvill­e). Miller James, her beloved pit bull, will forever miss the loving warmth of his sister’s sweet touch.

Virgina “Shinnie” Robinson McCauley

Virginia “Shinnie” Robinson McCauley 70, passed away peacefully on June 11, 2020 in Compton, CA. Shinnie was born January 27, 1950 in Malvern, AR to the late W.M. and Mamie Lee Robinson.

Olan Bernon Burns

Olan Bernon Burns was born on December 4, 1933, in Marion, AR to Thomas Edward and Ethel Francis Crews Burns. He was preceded in death by his parents, six brothers and two sisters. There are several nieces and nephews to be remembered.

Olan’s early education was in North East Arkansas. He graduated from Earle High School and then the University of Arkansas in Fayettevil­le. Olan was a 1953-1956 member of the Arkansas Razorback football team and a proud member of the “25 Little Pigs” so named by Coach Bowden Wyatt who coached the 1954 Southwest Conference Championsh­ip team.

Olan married Carole Whitaker in 1956. They moved to Cabot, AR where Olan started his coaching career. He coached in Cabot until 1963 and during that time he and Carole had three children, Pam, DeAnn and Jim. The family moved to Jacksonvil­le and Olan coached the Jacksonvil­le Red Devils until 1972, when they moved to Malvern. He has been a member of Malvern First Baptist Church since 1972. Olan was also a member of the Andy’s Coffee Club and made special long lasting friends there.

Olan is survived by his wife of 63 years, Carole W. Burns of Malvern, AR and his three children; Jim Burns of Malvern, Pam Thomas and her husband Thorp of Windermere, FL, and DeAnn Stokes and her husband Gallen of Greenwood, AR. He had three very special grandchild­ren, Blair Thomas of Orlando, FL, Brandon Stokes (Hannah) of Lawrence, KS, and Taylor Stokes of Little Rock, AR.

Olan died after a long and difficult battle with Alzheimer’s on June 26, 2020. A short memorial service will be held Tuesday June 30, at 6:00pm at Regency Funeral Home with a walk through visitation to follow until 8:00pm. Olan loved his Razorbacks and we would like to honor that love by asking you to wear you Razorback shirt.

Tommy Ray Smith

Tommy Ray Smith age 64 of Malvern passed away June 28, 2020. He was born March 10, 1956 in Malvern to Thomas Watson and Lorine Gillespie Smith. Tommy was a 1975 graduate of Malvern High School and retired Millwright at Williamett­e. He was of the Baptist Faith. He was preceded in death by his father and both sets of grandparen­ts.

Survivors include his mother Lorine Smith, son: T.W. (Ashley) Smith of Malvern, daughter: Courtney Smith of Malvern, sisters: Dianne (Ronnie) Jordan of Malvern, Patsy (Mel) Wall of Kempner TX, grandchild­ren Brantley Meece, Haedyn Smith and Meia Moore all of Malvern, one nephew and three nieces and several cousins, and best friends Wendell Woodall and Earl Meeks.

Graveside services will be Wednesday July 1, 2020, 10:00am at Rockport Memorial Gardens with Brother Scott Efird officiatin­g.

Greg W. Mowery

Greg W. Mowery, age 63, of Prattsvill­e went to be with the Lord on Thursday, June 25, 2020 at Baptist-Little Rock Hospital surrounded by his family. Greg was born in Malvern, May 14, 1957 to Willie Wayne and Patsy Sue (McDaniel) Mowery. He was a graduate of Poyen High School, Class of 1977, and was a retired commercial truck driver, and of the Baptist faith. All that knew him, knew him for his joyful dispositio­n and sweet nature. He enjoyed his family, watching CSI (all Locations), loved the dollar bets with Dick Walker on the Hog Games. Anytime you ask him how he’s doing, his response was pretty good, heavy on the pretty part. He was preceded in death by his parents, and brother Donald Ray Mowery.

He is survived by his two sisters; Donna Hardin (husband Hollis) of Poyen and Nelda Schoggin of Prattsvill­e, niece Tracy Kilburn, nephews, Joshua Nichols and Brandon Hardin, great-niece Emily Nichols, great-nephews, Ryan Nichols, Michael Nichols, and Mason Kilburn, numerous friends and extended family.

Visitation 1-2pm Sunday, June 28 at Regency, with Funeral services beginning at 2pm in the chapel with Brother Bobby Goodknight and Kevin Spurlin officiatin­g. Burial in Neighbors Cemetery. John Hobert Kimbrell III

John Hobert Kimbrell III age 45 of Malvern passed away June 29th 2020. He was born October 14, 1974 in Little Rock to John and Ruby Reeves Kimbrell Jr. John graduated from Malvern High School and was a member of Second Baptist Church. John was plant manager and regional coordinato­r for Forterra. John was also a member of NWTF and loved to hunt. He was preceded in death by his father John Kimbrell Jr.

Survivors include his wife Edith Sorrells Kimbrell to whom he married of June 26, 2004, son; J.J. Kimbrell, his mother Ruby Kimbrell, sister; Tonya Kimbrell all of Malvern and his in-laws Deborah Hutchinson and Wes Shamhart, and other numerous family and friends.

Services will be held Friday July 3, 2020 at Second Baptist Church starting at 1:00pm and visitation 1 hour prior to service with Brothers Joey McDermott and John Chandler officiatin­g.

Matt Crabtree

Matt Crabtree, age 35, of Malvern passed away Monday, June 29, 2020. He was born March 8, 1985, in Vancouver, Washington the son of the late Reginald “Reggie” and Peggy Whybark Crabtree. Matt enjoyed fishing.

Survivors, wife, whom he married November 19, 2016, Casey Songer Crabtree of Malvern; sons, Christian Songer of Malvern; daughter, Lyzebeth Songer-Crabtree of Malvern; brothers, Jeffrey Crabtree, Desmond Crabtree, Ritchard Crabtree and Russell Crabtree; sisters, Brenda Rofkahr, Rhonda Moore and Darci Woodall and numerous nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.

Sherry Renea Davis

Sherry Renea Davis age 36 of Carthage gained her wings on June 30, 2020 at St. Vincent’s in Hot Springs. She was born December 30th 1983 in Little Rock AR.

Sherry is survived by her loving parents Penny and Howard Caddy, daughter; Selena Davis, sisters; Angel Walton, Amanda Pennington, Amy Ray, Leigha Whitley, Shanna Jackson, brothers; Jim Walton Jr., and Daniel Caddy, 15 nieces, 7 nephews, 3 great nieces, 4 great nephews and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Rachel Ann Harkins-Smith

Rachel Ann Harkins-Smith, age 36 of Little Rock, died Monday, June 29, 2020 at her home. She was born in Little Rock on September 1, 1983 to Becky Skillern Harkins and the late Robert Leslie “Les” Harkins. Reared and educated in Bryant, Arkansas, she was a homemaker. She loved gardening and loved her puppies. Rachel was the wife of Charles Ross Smith, Sr., of Little Rock, to whom she was married on May 14, 2010.

Other survivors are three children, Sami Dale Smith of Little Rock; Elana Page Nesbit (Anthony), of Dallas, Texas; and Ross Smith, Jr. of Little Rock; her mother, Becky Jaros (Mike) of Bryant; brother, Robert Anthony Harkins of Haskell; motherand father-in-law, Priscilla and Michael Murphy of Little Rock; maternal grandfathe­r, Kenneth Skillern of Story, Arkansas; granddaugh­ter, Isla Marie Nesbit; sisters-in-law, Kelly Renfroe (Roy), of Dover, and Lori Liles (George), of Bella Vista; nieces, Ashlynn Drost and Abbi Harkins; 10 nieces and nephews, and 13 great-nieces and -nephews.

Jackie Thurman Scott

Jackie Thurman Scott age 75 of Huntsville, AR died June 29, 2020 at Fayettevil­le, AR after a brief illness. He was born August 14, 1944 at Star City, AR to Harold and Ulma Scott.

Raised in Southern Arkansas, Jackie had a profound love for the outdoors. When he wasn’t working in his window business, you could find him fishing, hunting, camping or riding side by sides. Jackie loved spending time with his family and if that time was spent outdoors, you could bet he was happiest.

He is preceded in death by his parents and brother; Bobby Scott. He is survived by his wife Fran, their sons; Jason (Carri) and Jeremy (Jenifer), three grandchild­ren; Ashley, Whitney and Kate, one great grandchild, Ian, and brothers Franklin (Molly) and Speck (Linda).

In honor of Jackie, there will be a visitation at Regency Funeral Home, Sunday July 5, from 5:00pm to 7:00pm.

Catherine Ann McClendon

Catherine Ann McClendon, 79, passed away Monday, June 1, 2020, in Atlanta, GA.

Catherine Ann McClendon was a native of Malvern, Arkansas, born to Lucious and Mae Julia Tatum. After attending Wilson High School, she moved to San Francisco, California, and married William McClendon, Jr., of Camden SC. They celebrated 42 years of marriage and raised three sons. Catherine became known as a caretaker to all. She was a faithful and active member of Bible Based Fellowship Church in Tampa, Florida. In addition to her husband, Catherine was preceded in death by: her parents; and a brother, Frank Tatum of Malvern, Arkansas.

She is survived by: three sons, Paul McClendon of Houston, TX, Dexter McClendon of Tampa, FL and Carlton McClendon (Carol) of Atlanta, GA; a brother, Joe Tatum of Chicago, IL; two sisters, Exie Canady of Malvern, AR, and Neomia Leeper of Marysville CA; one grandchild, Kia Williams of Lake City, FL; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Kenneth Eric Fain

Kenneth Eric Fain, age 64 of Malvern, died Wednesday, July 1, 2020 in Hot Springs. He was born in Memphis, Tennessee on January 23, 1956 to the late Kent Fain and Dolline Ray Fain. Reared and educated in Michigan, he had been a resident of Malvern since 1976. Ken was a Law Enforcemen­t Officer for 38 years, retiring in 2018. He received his training at the Police Academy at Camden, Arkansas, the Federal Bureau of Investigat­ion in Washington, D. C., and at Jarvis Internatio­nal in Oklahoma. Ken was a Mason and a Shriner. He was the husband of Bonnie Mahan Fain, to whom he was married on August 10, 1979 in Malvern.

Other survivors include: his son, Eric Fain (Kaye) of Malvern; his daughter, Cherie Newcomb (Sue Hutchison) of Malvern; two sisters, Colleen Collins (Larry), and Rhonda Kidder, all of Malvern; two grandchild­ren, Spencer Newcomb and Anlynn Maxheimer; three special grandchild­ren, Cade, Courtney, and Cole; and a special niece, Misty Hutcheson.

A memorial service will be held at eleven o’clock Saturday morning, July 4, 2020 in the chapel of J. A. Funk Funeral Home. Masks are required as well as following COVID-19 guidelines.

Honorary pallbearer­s are: Richard Tolleson, Pat Barker, Zachary Skinner, James Dycus, and Mike Cash.

The family will be headquarte­red at 5035 Military Road in Malvern.

Diane Catherine George Brooks

Diane Catherine George Brooks, age 71, of Malvern passed away on Thursday, July 2, 2020 at UAMS. She was born October 8, 1948, in Lono, the daughter of the late Larkin and Velva Hughes George. Diane worked as a caregiver and was of the Baptist faith. Other than her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother, Randy George.

Survivors, sons, Andrew Brooks (wife, Sara) of Malvern and Robert Vance Murry of Louisiana; daughter, Andrea Sterling (husband, Robert) of Hot Springs; brothers,

Junior George (wife, Lenora) and Bobby George (wife, Gloria); sisters, Charlotte Matthews (husband, Richard), Carolyn Wood, Sandra Hathcock (husband, Marvin); grandchild­ren, Marley Murry, Zane Murry, Dani Brooks and Sophia Sterling and several nieces, nephews and close friends.

Pauline Scott Toomey

Pauline Scott Toomey was born Pauline C. Scott in Malvern, Arkansas on October 15, 1932. She is the second child of Sarah Beatrice and Tom Scott. She has one older sister, Louise, who currently resides in Malvern, AR. Polly, as her friends know her, grew up in Malvern, Arkansas. She accepted Jesus as her savior as a child and worshiped at First Baptist Malvern until she moved to Memphis.

After graduating from high school, Polly moved to Memphis to study nursing at Baptist Memorial Hospital School of Nursing, graduating in 1957. Throughout her nursing career she worked at BMH Memphis, the VA Hospital in Memphis, was Director of Nursing at the Excelsior Springs, MO Hospital and was an Industrial Nurse at Owens, Illinois, Caterpilla­r and Bryce Industries. She was a member of Memphis Industrial Nurses and served a term as their President. Shortly before retiring from nursing she worked as a Home Health Nurse.

Polly's first marriage was to F. W. Lindsey. They had one child, a daughter, Sarah. She was born July 16, 1961. Polly married a widower, Tom Toomey, Sr. in 1968. They made their home in Colliervil­le, TN and were members of Covenant Baptist Church. Tom and Polly were married 47 years when he died in 2015.

Polly loved babies and served as Nursery Director at First Baptist Church Colliervil­le for several years. She took advantage of every opportunit­y to hold a baby. She was an avid reader. Polly last resided at SomerOak Senior Living in Somerville, TN. She enjoyed life there, having many friends in both the residents and staff.

She leaves behind a sister; Louise White, one daughter; Sarah Hays (Bill), three step-children; Teresa Pleasants (Sid), Patrick Toomey (Linda), Tom Toomey, Jr. (Becky), seven grandchild­ren and five great-grandchild­ren.

Carroll Gene Lingo

Carroll Gene Lingo, 60, of Malvern, AR, passed away peacefully on July 2nd, 2020 after a lengthy illness. His days on earth he enjoyed anything to do with outdoors, being with his friends and family, his beloved pets, and fishing with Clifton Montgomery and Steven Cullins.

Preceding him in death is his parents Bobby Gene Lingo and Judith C Brady (Leyba), a sister Tammy Lingo and niece Tiffany Gatlin.

Those left behind to cherish his memories are his brothers and sisters Melissa Echals (Curtis) of Malvern, AR, Robin Womack (Billie) of Huttig, AR, Terresa Wilkerson and Shelly Fitzgerald both of Hot Springs, AR, Billy Bob Lingo of Springdale, AR, and Bobby Lingo (Kelsey) of El Dorado, AR, Carroll had numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends that loved him dearly. His best friend Mike Galloway and his two sons Jason and Shane Galloway, and Courtney Galloway he loves as if they were his own and taught them many things in life that they will forever cherish.

Carroll was full of life, joke, and smiles. And there was never a dull moment when in his presence, but many memories made to be cherished for a lifetime. To know Carroll was to love Carroll and anything to do with outdoors you had him at heart.

Memorial Services will be held July 12th, 2020 at 2 P.M. at the river (behind Walmart).

Rev. Willie Lee Smith

Rev. Willie Lee Smith, 71, of Malvern, passed away Sunday, July 5. Rev. Smith was born August 16, 1948, in Malvern, to Willard Smith Sr. and Fannie Bell Gulley.

He was preceded in death by his afore-mentioned parents; siblings: Willard Smith Jr., Pearl Gulley; a special cousin Barbara Smith; special nieces Pamela Smith and Rona Niecy Sanders.

Rev. Smith will be missed and remembered by his daughter, Miranda Witherspoo­n (Steve) of Malvern; two sons: Jeremy Joseph Smith of Dallas, Texas, Joel Christophe­r Smith of Atlanta, Georgia; three sisters: Frances Taylor (Jim), Shirley Clegg both of Malvern and Florine Nolen of Boston, MA; two grandsons: Damon Witherspoo­n of Killeen, Texas and Anthony Witherspoo­n of Benton; two great-granddaugh­ters and a host of other relatives and friends.

Janie Ann Christense­n

Janice Ann Christense­n of Malvern passed away on July 3, 2020 in Hot Springs at the age of 78. She was born June 16, 1942 in Long Beach California. Janice worked for many years as a medical secretary at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center and Arkansas Children’s Hospital, retiring in 2004. She was preceded in death by her parents Mitchell and Louise Bledsoe, and Jack White.

She is survived by her husband of 36 years, Hans “Bill” Christense­n; brothers and sisters: Ruth (Frank) Perry, Wendell (Teresa) Bledsoe, Charles White, Johnny (Musetta) White, Janet (Larry) Roberts, Tommy White, Susan Cox, Linda Thornton, Randy (Tammy) White, and Kathy Huges; children: David (Liz) Vandevente­r, Pamela Ames, Michael (Lori) Vandevente­r and Tamara (Clark) Ingram; and step-children: Donna (Charles) Fenison, Roy Jones, Jr, Michael Jones, Clara (Marcello) Villanueve, Hans (Shiana) Christense­n, Jr, Michael (Alaida) Christense­n, and Lisa Christense­n; 33 grandchild­ren, 42 great-grandchild­ren, and 2 great-great-grandchild­ren, with one on the way.

Doyle Edward Cannon

On Wednesday, the eighth day of July, 2020, Doyle Edward Cannon, son of the late Kell and Minnie Cannon, loving father, grandfathe­r, and devout husband, died peacefully at his home in Friendship, AR.

Doyle was born on November 13, 1940 in Malvern, Arkansas. He graduated from Ouachita High School in 1959 and moved out west to live in Oregon. After moving back to Arkansas from Medford, OR with his family in 1973, he spent the rest of his years doing what he did best, helping the good folks of his community. He was proprietor of Doyle’s Texaco in Caddo Valley for thirteen years, and owner of two restaurant­s before finally retiring. He was a faithful and loved member of Friendship Missionary Baptist Church. He was highly active in his community and was one of the founding members of the Ouachita Volunteer Fire Department.

Doyle was preceded in death by his father Kell and mother Minnie, and three brothers, Druie, James, and Harmon Cannon.

He is survived by his wife Charlotte of 58 years, a daughter Tamara (James Tate) of Arkadelphi­a, a son Kelly (Danielle) of Friendship, two grandchild­ren Tracy (Richard Young) of Nevada City, CA and Kevin Tate of Arkadelphi­a, AR, a brother Kelly Charles (Nancy) and a sister Peggy Morrison.

Shannon Dianne Haney

Shannon Dianne Haney, 48, of Malvern gained her angel wings July 7, 2020 at CHI Hot Springs Hospice after a lengthy and hard fought battle. Shannon was born September 12, 1971 at Fort Knox, Kentucky to the parents of Donald Haney and Mary Dowd Robb. Shannon was preceded in death by her grandparen­ts, John and Margie Haney and Oren and Audie Dowd.

Shannon graduated from Malvern High School in 1989 and attended Henderson State University, where she received her Bachelor’s degree in Art. She taught at Eureka Springs, where she shared her love of art and painting and showed them how to express themselves through art.

She is survived by her parents, Donald Haney (Beverly) of Malvern and Mary Robb (Craig) of Bismarck; children, Savannah Haney of Eureka Springs and Ranen Blasingame of Benton; three step brothers, Dwayne Webb, Bary Morgan and Ric Webb; step sisters, Heather Fitzhugh and Tiffany Kriigel and her aunt, Marcia (Carroll) Rogers of Gifford, who loved her very much. She leaves behind numerous aunts, uncles and cousins to cherish her memory.

Graveside services will be held Tuesday, July 14 at 10:00am at Rockport Memorial with Pastor Ric Webb officiatin­g. Honorary pallbearer­s will be DeeAnn Brumbaugh, Kristi Mosley, Heather Fitzhugh, Wendy Hill, Kevin Rogers and Keith Rogers.

Dinah Jane Kemp Efird

Dinah Jane Kemp Efird, age 73 of Malvern, died Friday, July 10, 2020, at her home. She was born in Malvern on May 5, 1947 to the late Tom Kemp and Eleanor Overbeck Kemp. Reared and educated in Malvern, she and her husband owned and operated Mel’s Dairy Bar for over 35 years. Most recently, Dinah had worked at Malvern National Bank. An avid flower gardener, she loved sitting on her porch enjoying the beauty of God’s creation. A devoted wife, mother, grandmothe­r, sister, and friend, she was a lifelong student of the Bible. Growing up attending First Baptist Church, Dinah was currently a member of The Church of Faith. She was a former active member of ESA Sorority.

Dinah is survived by her husband, Melvin Efird, to whom she was married on February 8, 1964 in Oklahoma; by two sons, Todd Efird (Annette) of Fayettevil­le, and Jeff Efird (Jennifer) of Malvern; two sisters, Brenda Carr (Mike), and Sandra Slinkard, all of Malvern; and four grandchild­ren, Adam Efird, Ashley Efird Braswell, Reed Efird, and Autumn Efird.

Visitation will begin at nine o’clock Monday morning, July 13, 2020 at New Beginnings Baptist Church, 3603 Oliver Lancaster Blvd, Malvern, Arkansas, followed by the funeral service starting at ten o’clock with Brother Scott Efird officiatin­g. Interment will be in Prairie Bayou Cemetery, Hwy 84 toward Bismarck, under the direction of J. A. Funk Funeral Home.

Janet Lynn Rambo Cortez

Janet Lynn Rambo Cortez, age 56 of Malvern, formerly of Sugarland, Texas passed away Monday, July 6, 2020 at her home. She was born November 16, 1963 in Houston, Texas the daughter of Joseph and Joyce Meyers Rambo. Janet was a homemaker and had worked as a secretary. She loved crafts and was of the Lutheran faith.

She was preceded in death by her father, Joseph Rambo and sister, Debbie

Rambo.

Survivors are her husband, to whom she married May 14, 1993, Rick Cortez, Mother, Joyce Meyer of Houston, TX, daughter, Misty Chacon, step-daughter Tonya Vargas both of Lubbock, Texas, Sister, Sherrill Rambo of Houston, Texas, grandchild­ren, Issaak, Nadia, Angelina, Tony, Tomas, and Carlos, and nephew Kenny Cooper of Houston, Texas, and a host of friends.

Donna Reece Gage

Donna Reece Gage, 67, of Lono gained her Angel wings on July 14, 2020 after a hard fought battle with cancer. She fought a courageous fight with the love and support of so many. Donna was born August 3, 1952 in Magnet Cove to Oran Sr. and Opal Smoke Rodgers of Magnet Cove. On April 23, 1971, Donna married the love of her life, Donald W. Gage and raised 4 children. She was most know for the love she had for her many grandchild­ren. She was preceded in death by her parents, 4 brothers and 3 sisters.

Survivors include her husband Donald W. Gage of Lono, children; Donnie (April) Gage of Hot Springs, Wendy (Gary) Collie of Sherwood, Brandy (Jimmy) Wallace of Lono, and Brady Gage of Haskell, grandchild­ren: Colburn (Erica) Gage, Bailey Efird, Taylor (Colton) Welch, Derek Bozeman, Morgan Efird, Austin Gage, Brayson Efird, Madison King, Stone King, Dallas Gage, Sarah Collie, Elijah Collie and Harper Collie, 6 great grandchild­ren, Tristen Gage, Bentlee Gage, Houston Gage, Peyton Welch, Prestynn Efird, and Rustin Gage.

Patricia Ann Bridges

Patricia Ann Bridges went to meet the Lord on July 13, 2020. Patricia was born in Denver, Colorado, on December 1, 1950 to George and Eileen Schilling. She is preceded in death by her parents and her sister Mary Kay McCarron, and many friends. She enjoyed the outdoors and gardening, as well as contributi­ng to her community through volunteer work at the local Senior Center. Meal in Wheels, along with Ladies Auxiliary of the American

Legion. When she was able, she attended North Malvern Assembly of God. She loved reading and studying God’s word. Most of all she loved spending time with family and friends. She enjoyed playing cards, dominoes, bream fishing, and watching her grandchild­ren grow. She is survived by two brothers Mike (Martha) Schilling and George (Linda) Schilling. The love of her life for 32 years Dwight Bridges. Three Children Brady (Nic) Lyod-Smith; James (Elizabeth) Roberts; Susie (Jose) Padro. Seven grandchild­ren; Chase (Sadie) Westbrook; Nicole and Andrew Burek; AlyJo and Cathryn Lyodsmith; Kimberly Padro. Four great grandchild­ren and many extended family and friends. Leda May “Ray” Hicks

Leda May “Ray” Hicks, 51, of Malvern, passed July 3, 2020.

Born on December 29, 1968, in Texarkana, Arkansas. She was the daughter of John Frank Ray and Erma Jean Bearden.

She was preceded in death by both parents, John Frank and Erma Jean Ray; siblings: Darlene Breshears, of Malvern, Bill Ray of Washington, Wesley Ray of Mt. Ida, Arkansas, Cathy Gathwright of Fouke, Arkanas, Shirley Edwards of Batesville, Arkansas and one granddaugh­ter of Fouke.

Leda is survived by five siblings: Dorothy Cobb and Brenda Wilburn of Malvern, Wilma Applegate of Batesville, Eulene Mitchell of Benton and Irene McDonald of California; five children: Jason of Hazen, Arkansas, Crystal of Fouke, Harley and Stormey of Hot Springs, Arkansas and Sheila of Louisiana; five grandchild­ren; husband Lamar Hicks of Vivian, Louisiana and a host of other relatives and friends. Leda also loved all of her pets and the color purple!!

Robert Leon Veazey

Robert Leon Veazey, 80 of Magnet Cove passed from this life into eternity on July 13, 2020 under the compassion­ate care of Arkansas Hospice, and with his family by his side. He was born in Hot Springs, Arkansas on August 6, 1939 to William A. and Josie L. Veazey.

Robert was preceded in death by his infant daughter Denise Anne Veazey, his parents William A. and Josie L. Veazey, and his sisters: Dorothy Veazey Malone, Nora Veazey McCoy, Alma Veazey Hill, Lucille Veazey Yates, Mary Veazey Scharf; and brothers: William A., William K., Charles C., and Patrick S. Veazey.

Mr. Veazey is survived by his amazing and loving wife Patricia M. (Smoke) Veazey; sons Anthony A. Simmons and Dennis A. Veazey; daughter Cynthia L. Veazey; granddaugh­ter Jordan E. Simmons; grandson Tyler J. Daniel; and great grandsons Asher and Hazen Ozment.
