nest Williams and Christine Rhynes in Little Rock, AR., he departed this life on December 19, 2020 at his home.

Rodney was raised in Dallas, TX. He graduated from South Oakcliff High School in 1983. After graduation he attended Lamar University in Beaumont, TX on a basketball scholarshi­p. He later received his CDL and worked for Gage Trucking until his health declined.

Rodney united in matrimony to his beautiful wife, Cathy Williams on September 08, 2006. Rodney was an avid fisherman and bowler. He was a member of the Crusaders and Central Arkansas travel bowling league. He was also a person who never met a stranger. Ricky Witham

Ricky Witham, age 69, of Glen Rose passed away December 18, 2020. He was born January 23, 1951 to Carl and Zella Johnson Witham. Ricky was a member of Cross Roads Baptist Church, worked for All Steel Constructi­on and was a United States Navy Veteran. Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Robert Witham, Donnie Witham, Linda Hill, Shirley Pearson and Patty Harkins.

Survivors include his wife, Reta Deckard Witham to whom he married on March 23, 1994; sons, Morris McGee of Bismarck, Charlie McGee of Benton, Ricky Joe Witham of Benton, Lavelle (Linda) White of Little Rock, Chuck Shite of Fordyce, and Dwayne Carrington of Little Rock; daughters, Marianne McGee of Glen Rose and Shennetta Ray of Malvern; brother, Carl (Alice) Witham Jr. of Benton; sisters, Zella (Michael) Moore of Traskwood, Sylvia Witham of Malvern and Veronica Miller of Malvern; 20 grandchild­ren and 18 great grandchild­ren and numerous nieces and nephews and cousins.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, December 22 from 12:30-1:30pm at Regency Funeral Home. Graveside services will follow at 2:00pm at Jones Cemetery in Brown Springs with Brother Bob Wiegel officiatin­g. Pallbearer­s will be his grandchild­ren. William “Bill” F. Smith

William “Bill” F. Smith age 75 of Malvern passed away Friday December 18, 2020. He was born October 23, 1945 to Albert and Mary Westfall Smith. Bill graduated from Malvern High School in 1964. He was a bricklayer and he was very active in Rockport United Methodist Church. Bill was preceded in death by his parents. After his retirement Bill enjoyed gardening, car shows and spending time with family and friends. Bill was a beloved husband, father, grandfathe­r and friend to many.

Survivors include wife, Dorothy G. Smith; sons, Daryl “Smitty” (Kristal) Smith and Greg Smith and Don Johnson; grandsons Will and Nick Smith; sister, Esta Leta Burroughs and her children; aunt, Juanita Smith Davidson and numerous cousins and friends.

Visitation will be held Monday, December 21 from 1:00-2:00pm at Regency Funeral Home with Covid-19 guidelines and social distancing enforced. A graveside will follow at 2:30pm at Rockport Cemetery with Rev. Troy Cates officiatin­g. Pallbearer­s will be Will Smith, Nick Smith, Jerry Hall, Charles Smith, Ronnie Reynolds and Rick Blair. James Carroll Bane

James Carroll Bane, age 83, of Malvern passed away Wednesday, December 23, 2020. He was born October 4, 1937 the son of the late Leonard and Mabel Nantze Bane. James worked at Alcoa for 35 years, was a cattle farmer and loved deer hunting. He was a member of Second Baptist Church. Other than his parents, Leonard and Mabel Nantze Bane he is preceded in death by his first wife, Hazel Kemp Bane; brother, Thomas Bane; sister, Lenna Faye Knowles and a step great-great grandson.

Survivors, wife, Anita Corley Bane; son, Danny Bane (Sonya) of Lono; brother, Billy Bane (Sadie) of Lono; sisters, Bonnie Fite (Charles) of Malvern and Phyllis Hill (Jan) of Malvern; grandchild­ren, Mollie Hill (Jason) of Poyen, Danielle Crosby (Dolph) of Malvern, Deshea Miller, Landon Mackey and Alissa West (Shannon); fifteen great grandchild­ren, three greatgreat grandchild­ren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Glen Burks

Glen Burks, age 76 of Traskwood, died Thursday, December 24, 2020 in North Little Rock. He was born in Garland County on December 28, 1943 to the late William Burks and Myrtle Green Burks. Reared and educated in Hot Spring County, he was a carpenter. Glen worked for Phillips Homes for 30 years, and then became a private contractor. Over the years, Glen built and remodeled many homes and businesses. He wouldn’t acknowledg­e his own expertise, but everyone for whom he worked saw him as a Master Carpenter for the precise way in which he practiced his art. He framed houses and also did the finish work, built cabinets, did intricate millwork including crown moulding, door frames, base shoe, and called it all “piddling around”. Glen was a Christian. He taught Sunday School and shared his faith with anyone he met. Glen was a member of Landmark Missionary Baptist Church in Traskwood. He loved farming and working on his tractor and combine. A loving husband, father, grandfathe­r, and great-grandfathe­r, he was married to Doris Crutchfiel­d on July 3, 1969. She survives him.

He is also survived by his two daughters, Teresa Lewis and her husband, Danny, of Traskwood, and Tracy Chandler and her husband Mickey of Glen Rose; a brother, Bo Burks and his wife, Martha of Benton; a sister, Rilla McCaslin and her husband Russ of Visalia, California; four grandchild­ren, Dustyn Lewis, Devin Lewis, Caitlyn Chandler, and Cody Chandler; four great-grandchild­ren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Glen was also preceded in death by siblings Gail Burks, Lloyd Burks, Leard Burks, Bonnie Kuhn, and Pauline Saling.

His funeral will be on Thursday afternoon, December 31, 2020, at two o’clock in the chapel of J. A. Funk Funeral Home with Brother Dustyn Lewis officiatin­g. Glen will be interred in Francois Cemetery.

Jimmie Paul Hixon

Jimmie Paul Hixon, age 83, of Poyen passed away December 24, 2020. He was born August 10, 1937 in El Dorado, AR to Nelson and Edris Imagene Taylor Hixon. Jimmie worked for Hydro Conduit and was a member of Poyen Missionary Baptist Church. He was a United States Army Veteran and on the Poyen Veteran’s Memorial Committee. Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Laveta Hixon; son, Paul; daughter, Regina Jo Webb; granddaugh­ter, Courtney Jo Webb and brother, Howard Hixon.

Survivors include his brother, Wayne Hixon; sister-in-law, Hazel Hixon of Donaldson; daughter-in-law, Karen Andrews of Poyen; grandchild­ren, Corey Webb, April Hixon, Scott and Kellie Canada; great-grandchild­ren, Spencer and Kara Webb and Joseph and Joshua Canada and his brother in law, Bob Speer.

Graveside services will Tuesday, December 29 at 2:00pm at the Poyen Veteran’s Memorial Pavilion. Pallbearer­s will be members of the Poyen Veteran’s Memorial Committee.

Harvey D. Ford Jr.

Harvey D. Ford, Jr. was born on March 7, 1940, in Malvern, to Harvey D. Ford, Sr. and Clara Johnson Ford. He passed away at home in Big Cove, Alabama on December 25, 2020. Mr. Ford was predecease­d by his parents; brothers, Michael and David Gentry and aunt, Cleo Mangao. Mr. Ford was retired from the U.S. Army after 26 years of service, having received the National Defense Service medal, the Vietnam Service Medal and Campaign Medal, Vietnam Cross of Gallantry with Palm, Good Conduct Medal, Army Achievemen­t Medal, Overseas Service Ribbons, Marksman Badge, Expert Badge, Army Commendati­on Medal with First Oak Leaf Cluster and Meritoriou­s Service Medal. He was a longtime member of Southside Baptist Church in Huntsville, Alabama.

He is survived by his loving wife of fifty-two years, Elaine Green Ford; sisters, Laverne (Bill) Jackson and Verna (Vernon) Bertrand; brothers, Lyndell (Rita) Baker, Bobby Baker and Charles Gentry; sister-in-law, Kim Green Mabry and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins, as well as special care givers, Steve Pierce, Connie Witt and Joseph Harding.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, December 30 from 6:00-8:00pm at Regency Funeral Home.

Funeral service will be held on Thursday, December 31 at 1:00pm at Regency Funeral Home with Brother Grant Davis officiatin­g. Burial will be at Neighbors Cemetery in Midway, Arkansas.

Brett Daniel Mohler

Brett Daniel Mohler, 37, passed away on Monday, December 14, 2020. Brett was born to James Mohler and Ruby Dolores Crow on November 22, 1983 in Fairbanks, Alaska.

Brett is survived by his loving wife, Adriann Mohler; his son, Blake Mohler; Stepchildr­en, Dailen Keys and Addyson Keys; mother, Ruby Crow; Father, Sherman

Crow; his siblings, Ginger Crow Linseys and Glenn J. Crow; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Brett is also survived by his mother-in-law, Latisha Duren; father in law, Terry Duren; and brother in law, Brandon Ragland.

Brett lived and worked in San Angelo. He was a loving father and husband. He met his wife, Adriann, in Arkansas and they later married in 2016. He had many hobbies like fishing with his son at the Concho River and woodworkin­g. He would make many things with wood, including a plaque that he made for his daughter with the words "Born from Heaven" engraved into it.

A memorial service will be held at 3:00 pm, Saturday, January 2nd at the North Malvern Assembly of God Church.

Kathryn Sebren

Kathryn Sebren, age 70, of Fordyce formerly of Malvern passed away on Monday, December 28, 2020 at her home. She was born March 5, 1950 the daughter of the late William Thomas and Athleen Childres Crites. Kathryn enjoyed cooking and baking and was of the Baptist faith. Other than her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Fred D. Sebren; son, Robby Lee Sebren; three brothers and two sisters.

Survivors, daughter, Jill Fawcett (Clark) of Fordyce; brother, Ricky Crites (Dottie) of Malvern; sister, Edith Ryan of Malvern; granddaugh­ter, Hana Morrissey of Fordyce; great grandchild Carter Lee Morrissey and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral Service will be Wednesday, December 30 at 2:00pm at Regency Funeral Home. Burial will be at Rockport Cemetery.

Mary Ann “Janie” Heath Rogers

Mary Ann “Janie” Heath Rogers, 78, died Monday, December 28 at Des Arc Nursing & Rehabilita­tion Center. She lived the past several years in the Cabot area, but for the majority of her adult life, she resided in Malvern. Janie was born September 21, 1942, in the Bobo community near Walcott, in northeast Arkansas. She was the ninth child born to Curl and Nellie Heath’s 10 children. She was a 1960 graduate of Greene County Tech High School and later graduated from Hot Springs Beauty College. She was a homemaker and also operated a daycare from her home. She earned a lifetime membership from the National Parent Teachers Associatio­n and served as the state membership director for the Arkansas PTA. She was an ardent supporter of the Malvern Public Schools, was active in the Order of the Eastern Star and was a member of Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church in Malvern. She enjoyed sewing, quilting and gardening.

She is survived by a son, Steve (Michelle) Rogers of Cabot; three grandchild­ren, Grace, Julia and Michael Rogers of Cabot; sister, Amy Carter of Jonesboro; and dozens of brothers and sisters in law, nieces, nephews and cousins, as well as many friends and children who grew up in her home.

She was preceded in death by her husband and fishing partner of 35 years, David Rogers’ daughter, Kim Rogers Thomas; three brothers, Willie Heath, Jack Heath and Boyd Heath and five sisters, Ruby Bottoms, Eva Matlock, Betty Mason, Sue Smith and Linda Clark.

Funeral service will be held Saturday, January 2 at 11:00am at Regency Funeral Home with Reverend Stephen Dickinson officiatin­g. Visitation will begin one hour prior to service. Burial will follow at Rockport Cemetery. Pallbearer­s will be Heath Daniel, Shannon Heath, Chad Heath, Michael Rogers, Rick Carter, Tim Carter and Kevin Daniel.

Ruby Joy McClenahan

Ruby Joy McClenahan, 91, of Hot Springs, Arkansas, passed away Monday, December 28, 2020.

She was born September 28, 1929 in Waldron, Arkansas to the late Glen & Eunice Scott.

Ruby is preceded in death by her husband Henry McClenahan; daughter Glenda Whitten and son Mikial Kriss Scott.

Survivors include her daughter Karen Davis; grandchild­ren Lena Bailey, Chris Davis, Amy Scott, Jason Scott, Samantha Scott and Christi Whitten; 15 great-grandchild­ren and 1 great-great-grandson.
