Billie Kathryn Englerth Oliver

-

Billie Kathryn Englerth Oliver died on Valentine’s Day, February 14, 2021, at the age of 90. She was born in Wilmot, Arkansas, in 1930, and at the age of 16, married her childhood sweetheart, Victor Lord Oliver. She and he were married for 72 years.

Ms. Oliver was a graduate of Ouachita Baptist University. She worked as a librarian for several years, before retiring to pursue more creative activities and licensure as a massage therapist. Billie blessed the world with her hands. She made so many beautiful things, by sewing, crocheting, cooking, and crafting. Her touch was soothing to many. She made the little things special for those she loved by creating candy confections, making jeweled Christmas trees filled with family memorabilia, quilting tiny baby blankets for dolls, baking delicious cakes, sewing curtains and pillows, setting a beautiful dinner table with vintage dishes, and carefully organizing her life. She was a reader, an artist, and a thinker.

Billie is survived by her daughter, Victoria Oliver Helm (Jack Gaines) of Dauphin Island, AL; brother, Harry L. Englerth of Roanoke, VA; grandchildren, Katherine Berry (Trey) of Magnolia, AR and Danny P. Simms (Mona) of Bismarck, AR; three great-grandsons, Parker Simms (Madyson), Tanner Berry and Austin Simms; great-granddaughter, Berkeley Berry. She also leaves behind cousins, nieces and nephews in her extended family.

Billie was preceded in death by her husband, Victor L. Oliver and her daughter, Toni Claudette Oliver.

A private interment of her ashes and those of Victor will be in the spring at the family gravesite in Wilmot, AR.
