Malvern council sets agenda for regular meeting

The Malvern City Council recently met for its monthly finance/ agenda meeting via teleconfer­ence through the Teamup Microsoft web app online to utilize communicat­ion with Malvern Mayor Brenda J. Weldon.

The council voted to place several items of business on the agenda for its upcoming meeting set to take place Monday, March 8.

The council agreed to include three items of new businesses during the finance meeting— an approval of the low bid for City Park sidewalk, approval of bid for pavement crack sealer state bid and to approve a dump truck for the street department.

For old business, the council agreed to have the second reading by title only for two ordinances pertaining to vote to abolish the Planning Commission ordinance no.583 and 1097, amending 601 and 2013-04, and an ordinance establishi­ng the Planning Commission.

Also during the agenda meeting discussion for new business, the council agreed to include an ordinance regulating electric service entrances.

Until further notice, the council will meet via teleconfer­ence through the Teamup Microsoft web app online by following safety guidelines and protocol procedures enforced by Gov. Asa Hutchinson of social distancing to prevent the spread of the coronaviru­s during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Malvern City Council meets every first and second Monday of each month.
