ANDREW WEATHERFORD 12th Grade - Glen Rose High School

Andrew Weatherford, a senior at Glen Rose High School, is the son of Bryan and Melissa Weatherford. He has a 3.6 GPA.

He is a great athlete and a joy to be around. Throughout high school he has taken PreAP English; Pre-AP Biology; Pre-AP US History and College Freshman Composition I & II. Andrew was awarded the DAR Good Citizen Award for GRHS this year. He made All-Region Band. He also qualified for State. He received All-State Football recognition 2019, 2020 ; and All-Conference Football 2019, 2020. Andrew plans to attend Henderson State University and will major in education. Andrew will also be a member of the Henderson State University Football Team. He has received the Arkansas Academic Challenge Scholarship and the HSU Football Scholarship.

His extracurricular activities: National Honor Society; BETA; CHAMPS; GRHS Football, Captain; GRHS Basketball; GRHS Band, Section leader multiple times in band.

Volunteer activities include: active member of Big Creek Missionary Baptist Church and an active member of the youth group. He has also been a Glen Rose Youth Association Volunteer. Andrew has been a volunteer football coach for the GR Youth Association for two years: June-November 2019 and June-November 2020 and he logged more than 100 hours. He has assisted the GR Youth Association by working chains, refereeing and other activities. He has also worked with the kids in the Youth Association by reading with them and assisting in their science classes many times.
