Lions track competes in Merchant Relays

The Bismarck Lions track team traveled to Prescott last Thursday to compete in the Merchant Relays at Prescott High School.

The Lions finished 12th overall with a combined score of 13 points. The Lions finished third in the 4X800 Meter Relay with Christian Leon, Wayne Porterfield, Ethan Davis, and Eli VanWie all competing on the relay team. The Lions also finished seventh in the 4X400 Meter Relay. The relay team consisted of Davis, VanWie, Porterfield, and Colton Slocum. Another high finish for the Lions came in the 300 Meter Hurdles. Leon placed fifth with a time of 46.06.

4X200 Meter Relay- The Lions finished with a time of 1:55.05 with Slocum, Vasquex, Depriest, and Davis

4X400 Meter Relay- The Lions finished seventh with a time of 4:15.67 with Davis, Vanwie, Slocum, and Porterfield

4X800 Meter Relay- The Lions finished third with a time of 9:41.64 with Leon, Porterfield, Davis, VanWie

Shot Put- Thomas Short finished with a distance of 29’7” and Joseph Parker finished with a distance of 37’0’

Triple Jump- Eli VanWie finished with a distance of 31’1”
