Gilbert M. Ramsey

Gilbert M. Ramsey, age 53, of Traskwood went to be with the Lord on Saturday, April 10, 2021. He was born in Driggs, Idaho on August 11, 1967 to Herman W. Ramsey and Mary Louise Bowman Ramsey. Gilbert lived in Traskwood most of his 53 years. He was a faithful member of Reyburn Creek Missionary Baptist Church and graduated from Glen Rose High School in 1987. Gilbert served in the United States Navy during Desert Shield and Desert Storm aboard the USS JFK. He was a sergeant for the Arkansas Department of Correction ORCU. Other than his father, he is preceded in death by his brother, Richard Wayne Ramsey.

Survivors, wife of 21 years, Rosie Floyd Ramsey; mother, Mary Louise Ramsey; stepson, David Lott of Hot Springs; step daughter, Sheri Stone of Traskwood; three grandchildren; brother, R.B. Ramsey (Terri) of Magnet Cove; sister, Leann Ramsey (Ryan) of Traskwood and DeAnn Ramsey (Ed) of Hot Springs and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Tuesday, April 13 from 6:008:00pm at Regency Funeral Home.

Service will be held Wednesday, April 14 at 10:00am at Regency Funeral Home with Brother Todd Bray officiating. Burial will follow at Traskwood Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Kenny Ramsey, Charlie Ramsey, Chris Floyd, Corban Floyd, Dennis Mitchell and D.J. Whorton.
