Crews of the Moser Construction company from Bryant began construction and dirt work of tearing down the longtime historic North Malvern Fire Station in March.
The historic North Malvern Fire Station served in the community since the early 1950s and was remodeled in the 1970s.
The new station will be built in the same location on Moline Street. The design/ layout and sketch plans of the new fire station, which will
be a two- story building includes the Fire Marshal/ Code Enforcement office.
The new design and sketch plans are under the direction of Greg Pumphrey of Pumphrey Architecture, Inc.
The construction process is a part of the bond issue passed by the residents of Malvern for a sales tax that pertains to building a new fire station, and a new police station, which will be remodeling the Fred’s building on 110 N Main— and including a street improvement plan.
The new two- story fire station project is expected to be completed before the end of this year.
