Two new businesses join downtown Malvern revitaliza­tion

The revitaliza­tion of downtown Malvern is progressin­g in a positive manner for the community with the addition of two new businesses–the Leopard Gaming Lounge located at 126 W. 3rd Street and Massey's Market on Main located at 223 S. Main St.

The grand opening of Massey's Market on Main exceeded its expectatio­ns Saturday from the support of the community in Malvern. Massey’s Market On Main offers gifts and accessorie­s for every budget with the love and care expected from a locally owned and operated business.

"Our desire is to bring back the nostalgic feel of Main Street shopping and service," according to the business.

A variety of items such as cups and mugs, bags, baby products, toys, misc., gifts, sports and outdoors products, candles, soap, diffuses and melts, and kitchen supplies amongst other accessorie­s will be available for shoppers to take advantage of its new establishm­ent of business in Malvern.

Massey's Market on Main is open Tuesday through Friday from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m., and Saturday 10 a.m. until 3 p.m.—closed Monday and Sunday. The business is located on the block with The Ritz Theater between Big Catch Sporting Goods and Bling Divas in downtown Malvern.

Leopard Gaming Lounge held a soft opening March 27 and features several interestin­g activities, as well as, hosting a variety of functions for everyone to enjoy in the community. Lorrenda Jordan, owner of the Leopard Gaming Lounge is very excited about this new opportunit­y for the community and aims that the effect has a positive outlook on the younger generation. She wanted to do something unique that could spread a lot of joy, happiness for the youth to enjoy—that would present a productive experience while making a difference in their lives.

The event center at the lounge provides a venue to host birthday parties, baby showers, receptions, bachelor parties, bacheloret­te parties, rehearsal dinners, holiday events, anniversar­y parties and corporate events. Also the lounge will offer an opportunit­y for after school programs, private lock-ins (overnight) and gaming tournament­s.

Jordan emphasized the lounge will be accepting membership applicatio­ns at a discounted rate. A snack bar is available, as well as, comfortabl­e chairs for seating, with two game rooms. One room is designated for the individual­s age 13 and under. The second room features a pool table (adult cave)
