Charles Cone Webb
Charles Cone Webb, age 90, of Poyen passed away on Thursday, December 9, 2021 at his home. He was born on January 27, 1931, in Malvern, the son of the late Merida Howell and Nellie Cone Webb. Charles served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War and was stationed in France for 2 years. Charles worked and retired from the Pine Bluff Arsenal, and then started Webb Locksmith, and worked with Moon Monument Company for many years. He served on the Poyen School Board for over 20 years and also served on the LindseyPoyen Cemetery Association. Charles was a member of Poyen Missionary Baptist Church, 50 year member of Rockport Masonic Lodge #58 and Past Master at Bethlehem Masonic Lodge. He enjoyed gardening, his cows, vacationing with kids, playing cards, bean bag baseball, trains and going to the Malvern Senior Center.
Other than his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, whom in married on June 1, 1953, Faynette Webb; daughter and son-in-law, Glenda and Tony Austin; brothers, Vernard Webb, Orville Webb, Lindell Webb, Don Parker and Odell Webb and sisters, Marguerite Morrison and Sue Mccool.
Survivors, son, James Webb (Deanna) of Poyen; daughters, Leslie Baxley (James) of Benton and Charlene Moore (Tommy Ray) of Poyen; brother, Lionell Webb (Vera) of Alexander; sister, Carolyn Stuckey (Kenneth) of Poyen; companion, Sharon Logue; grandchildren, April Gage (Donnie), Burt Austin (Jamie), Brad Austin (Stephanie), Justin Moore (Kate), Natalie Johnson (Bryan), Dusty Bennett (Carrie) and Blair Webb (fiancé, Brad Bearden); his dog, Tater and numerous great grandchildren, greatgreat grandchildren, nieces, nephews and to many friends to mention.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, December 12 at 3:00pm at Regency Funeral Home with Brother Bobby Goodknight officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to service. Burial will follow at Lindsey-poyen Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jarrett Austin, Drew Austin, Lance Austin, Layton Austin, Lane Austin, Derek Bozeman and Dallas Gage. Honorary pallbearers will be Tim Turner, Harold Loyd Robertson, Newman Crenshaw and Eddie Watson.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the LindseyPoyen Cemetery Association. A special thanks to his granddaughter, April for the love and care to keep him at home where he wanted to be.
