Bryant, age 91 of Little Rock, died Tuesday, January 4, 2022 at her home. She was born in Malvern on May 19, 1930 to the late E. L. Logan and Ola Perry Logan. Reared and educated in Malvern, she had been a resident of Little Rock since 1958. Virginia Lee worked for the local phone company as an operator, and continued with AT & T for a total of 35 years. She was a member of the Telephone Pioneers. A avid Razorback fan, she also loved to travel and to spend time with her family. She was a longtime attendee of Third Baptist Church in Malvern. Virginia Lee was the widow of the late Max Bryant, to whom she was married on September 6, 1953 in Greenville, Mississipp­i. He preceded her in death on October 10, 2013.

She is survived by three children, Rodney and Leigh Bryant of Arlington, Texas, Gail and Dan Lien, and Lisa Akridge all of Little Rock; by five grandchild­ren, Rebecca Bryant Loudamy ( Ross), Paul Bryant ( Lynnann), and Stephanie, Bradley, and Tiffany Akridge; by three great- grandchild­ren, Charlie Jackson Bryant, Theo Bryant, and Judson Loudamy; and by her constant furry companion, Sugar.

Virginia Lee was also preceded in death by her brother and sister- in- law, Dewey and Dorothy Banks Logan.

Her funeral will be held on Friday afternoon, January 7, 2022, at three o’clock, in the chapel of J. A. Funk Funeral Home with Brother Tom Strike officiatin­g. Interment will follow in Rockport Cemetery.

Memorials are requested to the Hot Spring County Historical Society and to Third Baptist Church, Malvern.

Odell Graves

Odell Graves, 86, of Arkadelphi­a passed away on Monday, January 3, 2022. He was born April 7, 1935, in Hot Springs, the son of the late George and Ebbie Ann Spears Graves. Odell worked for Bennett’s Body Shop. He was a member of Kelley Graves Deer Camp. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, farming, and picking and grinning. Other than his parents, he is preceded in death by his son, Chad Odell Graves; brothers, Theodore, W. G. and Bobby; sisters, Jessie, Essie, Bernadean, Modine and Wilma.

Survivors, spouse, Doris Graves; sons, Jeffery Reid ( Heather) of Bentonvill­e and Robert Reid ( Becky) of Malvern; daughters, Dianne Taylor ( Wade) of Itasca, TX, Catherine Graves of Cross Plains, TX, Paula Lindsay of Haltom City, TX, Sheila Wall of Haltom City, TX, Sandy Johnson ( Joe) of Paradise, TX, Suzanne Graves of Hot Springs and Pamela Atkinson

( Pat) of Bryant; brothers, Hershel Graves ( Helen) of Florida and Oliver Graves ( Pat) of Hot Springs; grandchild­ren, Kaitlyn, Kaleb, Dakota, Dalton, Nicolas, Christophe­r, Matthew, Shannon, Ryan, Jerrod, T. J., Tracey, Tricia, Ricky, Jennifer, Joey, Wayne, Erica, Samantha, Roy, Tyler, Meagan, Kara, Abbigail; forty- two great grandchild­ren; four great- great grandchild­ren and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation will be Sunday, January 9 from 5: 00- 7: 00pm at Regency Funeral Home.

Services will be Monday, January 10 at 11: 00am at Regency Funeral Home with Reverend Andrew Orr officiatin­g. Burial will follow at Mountain Valley Cemetery in Hot Springs. Pallbearer­s will be TJ Wall, Derek Bowman, Ryan Lindsay, Jerrod Lindsay, Wayne Mitchell, Nic Taylor, Chris Taylor and Roy Lewallen. Honorary pallbearer­s will be Colton Bowman and Brayden Lindsay.
