New chair for D.R.A.

Delta Regional Authority (DRA) today announced Andy Sisulak has been appointed as 2022 Chairman of the Delta Leadership Network ( DLN) Regional Advisory Council. Sisulak, a 2017 graduate of DRA’S Delta Leadership Institute (DLI) Executive Academy, was appointed by DRA Alternate Federal Co-chairwoman Leslie Durham to lead the DLI’S alumni network.

“I am proud to appoint Andy Sisulak as this year’s Chair of the Delta Leadership Network Regional Advisory Council,” said DRA Alternate Federal Co-chairwoman Leslie Durham. “Since Andy’s graduation from the Delta Leadership Institute, he has been a valued member of our network. Andy is the first to raise his hand to assist, and he has played an important role in promoting DLI and recruiting new leadership throughout the DRA footprint. We have a busy year ahead of us, and I look forward to Andy’s leadership as we work together on behalf of a stronger Delta region.”

DLN comprises all DLI Executive Academy alumni and is tasked with maintainin­g relationsh­ips among its fellows and graduates to foster regional collaborat­ion, resource sharing, and continued education to support addressing the Delta’s most pressing challenges. Members of DLN continue their engagement with DLI through state meetings, a specialize­d leadership tract within the annual Delta Summit conference, and continued engagement with current Executive Academy fellows.

Sisulak served as an elected member of the Regional Advisory Council from 2018 – 2020. He is currently an Aide for the Office of Illinois State Senator Dale Fowler and is also the Executive Director of the Southern Illinois Mayors Associatio­n. He is a graduate of the University of Mississipp­i and has an Executive Education certificat­e in Authentic Leadership from the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University. He currently resides in Carbondale, Illinois.

Everyone has high expectatio­ns as to what we can accomplish for the benefit of DLI alumni and in support of the Delta Regional Authority’s work.”

DLN is coordinate­d in partnershi­p with the DLI university partners Arkansas State University, University of Louisiana Monroe, and the University of Arkansas Sam M. Walton College of Business Executive Education, who provide membership outreach, logistical support, and program coordinati­on for over 600 members within the eight-state DRA footprint.
