Community mourns after accidental death on W. Page Ave.

Malvern community members were shocked and saddened to hear of the death of Louise Mcadoo early this month. Mcadoo’s death was caused by an accidental vehicle collision as she was crossing West Page Ave. after 6: 00 p. m. on Dec. 31, 2021. The following informatio­n was released in an incident report from the Malvern Police Department.

M. P. D. officers arrived on the scene at approximat­ely 6: 26 p. m. and found Mcadoo laying in the center of the road at 413 West Page Ave. Mcadoo and another individual had been visitng Vance Funeral Home the evening of the accident.

Witnesses reported seeing Mcadoo and the other individual standing in front of the funeral home. MCAdoo was observed waiting for a vehicle to pass. She then crossed the road and was struck by a vehicle that was heading west.

The individual that struck Mcadoo reportedly did not see her walking in the road. After the collision, the individual that was driving the vehicle pulled over to check on Mcadoo.

Mcadoo was treated on the scene by Lifenet paramedics then was transporte­d via Lifenet ground to Baptist Medical Center in Malvern. She was then transporte­d via Lifenet air to CHI/ St. Vincent in Hot Springs where she was later pronounced deceased.

The case status as reported by the Malvern Police Department concludes that “NO CRIME” was committed in the incident.

Mcadoo was well known in the Malvern community and will be sorely missed by a great many. A funeral was held for her on Jan. 5 at Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Malvern where Mcadoo faithfully served until her death.
