M.S.D. goes remote in face of COVID
The Malvern School District released the following information Weds. afternoon:
“Due to the increase of COVID-19 cases and quarantines among staff and students, the Malvern School District will utilize two AMI days on Thursday, January 13, and Friday, January 14, 2022 and students will complete their work from home. The District understands the hardships this places on families but is unable to fill vacant staff positions with substitutes in classrooms and bus transportation at this current time. Specifics of the AMI instruction will be addressed by each campus.
Additionally, schools will be closed for a regularly scheduled holiday on Monday, January 17, 2022, in observance of Martin Luther King Day. All schools and offices will be closed for public access during this time.
Food services will be available Thursday and Friday at MES from 10am until noon for pickup at the back door of the cafeteria.
In-person learning is scheduled to resume on Tuesday, January 18, 2022.
Additionally, due to the increase in cases all staff, students, and visitors in grades K-12 will be required to wear a face covering beginning Tuesday, January 18, 2022 under the same guidelines as in the Fall. The District will closely monitor the data including daily positivity rates and will revisit the wearing of masks regularly as we did last semester.
