Cora Lee Lowe, 83 of Malvern completed her earthly journey on Thursday, April 14, 2022 in Irving, Texas. She was born February 21, 1939, in Malvern, the daughter of the late Derk Lee and Helen Marie Stewart Danner. Cora was a member of Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church, City of Perla Alderman and a Perla City Water councilwom­an. She was a community activist, family historian and an author of many books, poems and essays. Other than her parents, she is preceded by her husband, Allen Lowe and son, Rodney Earl Tyson. Survivors are her son, Alfred James Tyson of Texas; daughters, Cynthia Tyson Jenkins ( Harold) of Texas and Valeria Lynn Tyson of Texas; father of her children, Alfred James Tyson of Malvern; brother, Truman Lee “Bud” Danner ( Betty) of Hot Springs; sisters, Ethel Dorsey ( James) of Hot Springs, Helen Jean Bealer ( Bill) of Pine Bluff, Janie Miles of Texas and Beverly Ann Jones ( Frederick) of Indianapol­is, Indiana; extended family, David Lowe Turner, Russell Lowe ( Julie), Darlene Jimmerson Lewis ( Larry), Joyce Curry, Annette Lowe, Loretta Coleman, Evelyn Thrower ( Tony) and Jacqueline Green ( Will); grandchild, Joseph Michael Jenkins and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Home Going Celebratio­n will be on Saturday, April 23 at 11: 00am at Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church, 522 South Banks Street, with Reverend Orlando Freeman officiatin­g. Burial will be at Perla Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday, April 22 from 5: 00- 7: 00pm at Regency Funeral Home. Pallbearer­s will be Harold Jenkins, Joseph Jenkins, William Miles, Jarren Bealer, Devin Winters, Darius Green and Benjamin Bealer. Honorary pallbearer­s will be Frederick Jones, Jonathan Danner, Jessie Miles, Dustin Jones, Andre Bealer and Andre Arnold. Arrangemen­ts are by Regency Funeral Home.
