- By GERREN SMITH

FOREMAN — The Magnet Cove Lady Panthers have soared down the title journey of success and clinched the 2A-7 Conference Championship Thursday after a shutout performance of victory against the Foreman Lady Gators 3-0 in seven innings of intense softball competition.

Lady Panthers’ stout pitcher Bella Harville led the defensive execution in the pitcher’s circle to earn the victory. Harville provided a complete game of productive pitching for seven innings.

Maddie Lawrence with Harville led the offensive execution in the frame and collected two hits apiece. Harville drove in a run for an RBI and scored on an interference call.

Overall, the Lady Panthers took care of business on the diamond and never tasted defeat during league play—capturing the league conference title at 8-0.

Magnet Cove Lady Panther softball head coach Hunter Vincent noted how much this conference championship means to the program and urges their confidence to make a strong run in the postseason.

“I’m very happy to win the game,” Vincent said. “We were in this position last year to clinch a conference championship and let it slip away. Tonight we took care of business against a very good Foreman team.”

Vincent mentioned [Bella] Harville pitched great, and the team played great defense, and they were just good enough on offense.

“We need our sticks to come around better heading into the postseason,” Vincent added.

The Lady Panthers improved to 13-4 overall.
