Warriors, Lady Warriors set for district tournament championships
MOUNT IDA — The reigning 1A-7 Conference champions Ouachita Warriors and Lady Warriors have journeyed their way to the championship games at the district tournament in baseball and softball competition hosted at Mount Ida.

Ouachita Lady Warriors 15 Blevins Lady Hornets 0
The Lady Warriors continued their streak of destruction on the diamond after another collective team effort topped Blevins in a shutout victory Wednesday. The Lady Warriors remain unbeaten against league opponents and return to the title game once again for a consecutive season in softball competition.
DISTRICT TOURNEY BASEBALL Ouachita Warriors 15 Kirby Trojans 0
The Warriors cruised through their match-up to face a Trojans team that had not much left of fire power from facing Blevins. The Warriors put away the Trojans in one inning by routing 15 runs on only four hits to return to the district tournament finals. Warriors’ Trey Cox collected the highlight hit of the outing and homered while earning the win from the mound.
Cox struck out two batters while earning the no-hitter and shutout victory while throwing seven strikes. Cox also drove in three runs for three RBIS, Riley Adams had two RBIS and Jayden Alston drove in a run for an RBI.
Kelton Fowler, Adams, Alston and Cox each had a hit apiece in the frame. Leading the scoring attack around the bases were Kaden Fulmer, Kelton Fowler, Adams, Hunter Rook, Bralyn Maynard, Alston, Connor Jackson, Colton Braswell,
Caleb Force and Gunner Batson all scored in the 15-run shutout victory.
