Jonathan Nash Campbell passed away on April 28, 2022. He possessed a passion for life and within minutes of meeting anyone had a new friend. He followed his own unique pathway throughout his life demonstrat­ing to others that life was more than finances or wealth. His love of people, especially young people, was manifested in his employment at Wilson Intermedia­te School where he taught computers in addition to lessons of life. He was most successful with his developmen­t of children as his crowning and lasting achievemen­t and legacy. His greatest love was his daughter, Drew, who he taught love, kindness, laughter, and happiness.

Jonathan was born in Auburn, Alabama on December 9, 1981, and loved that community intensely in addition to his adopted home in Malvern, Arkansas. He studied at Henderson State University in Arkadelphi­a, Arkansas having been a member of Theta Xi Fraternity. He loved the outdoors which as exemplifie­d by his obtaining the rank of Eagle Scout in high school and as president of the Henderson State Outdoorsma­n Club which found him more often than not kayaking or canoeing down the Caddo and Little Missouri rivers. He was a member of Auburn United Methodist Church and expanded his spirituali­ty through nature and love of people.

He is survived by his best friend and former wife, Genia Bailey Campbell; daughter, Drew Bailey Campbell of Malvern; parents, James and Kay Cullins Campbell of Auburn, Alabama and brother, William Campbell of Auburn, Alabama. He was preceded in death by his brother, Robert Steadman Campbell; maternal grandparen­ts, Grady and Ella May Cullins and his paternal grandparen­ts, James William Campbell and Jessie

Lou Shaver Jones.

A gathering will be held at 2:00pm on Saturday, April 30, at Regency Funeral Home. The memorial service will follow at 2:30pm. Interment of ashes will be at Town Creek Cemetery in Auburn, Alabama at a later date.

Friends and family are invited afterwards to a Celebratio­n of Jon’s Life at 12060 Hwy 222 in Leola from 4:00-6:00pm.

In lieu of flowers, it is requested that donations be made to Hot Spring County Boys and Girls Club, 1840 W Moline, Malvern, AR 72104 or the Wilson Page Turners Book Club, 614 W Moline, Malvern AR 72104.
