Jammin’ With Jaya at LR Zoo

Come celebrate the birthday of one of the Zoo’s newest members, Jaya, the Malayan tiger! Jaya has quickly become a Zoo favorite, and we hope that you join us as we have a Hawaiian-themed party for his 11th birthday!

Each Zoo guest wearing a Hawaiian shirt, tiger shirt, or bringing a stuffed tiger will be entered into a drawing to receive one of five (5) prizes, including:

A Zoo membership;

A gift certificate to a dining establishment; A tiger-themed gift basket from the Zoo’s Safari trader gift shop; and One of two framed pictures of Jaya Zoo guests can purchase additional chances to win for a $5 donation to the MYCAT tiger conservation organization.

Participation in all of the birthday activities is part of the regular Zoo admission.

The day’s schedule will include: 10:00 AM- 1:00 PM- Craft activity table with tiger-themed crafts and games located at the base of big cats habitat

11:00 AM- 1: 00 PM- Biofact Table at top of big cats habitat

11:00 AM- 1:00 PM- Purchase additional drawing tickets at the sales table at the top of big cats

11:00 AM- Stuffed tiger parade from the front plaza to the top of the big cats habitat (Bring your stuffed tigers to join in on the fun!)

11:15 AM- Jaya’s birthday party begins at the top of the big cats habitat with cake and other refreshments *while supplies last ~ Photo opportunities available with our tiger mascot!

11:30 AM- Tiger keeper chat and tiger enrichment

1:00 PM - Winners of the drawing announced at the craft table at the base of the big cats habitat
