Magnet Cove to participate in Inclusive Practices Project

Magnet Cove Elementary has been selected to participate during the 2022-2023 school year in the Arkansas Inclusive Practices Project.
Magnet Cove Elementary is one of a select few participating in this exciting opportunity, during which they will have the opportunity to learn directly from Solution Tree’s world-renowned authors as well as work sideby-side with a Solution Tree expert who has successfully implemented this work.
With the support of these experts, Magnet Cove Elementary Faculty and Staff will be actively engaged in the work necessary to execute the Yes We Can! processes which Utilize PLC practices to guide general and special educators to develop collaborative partnerships to close the achievement gap and maximize learning for all as they build an inclusive, high achieving, and equitable culture for ALL students.
A team of Magnet
Cove Elementary which included the building principal, teachers, and even a school board member participated in a rigorous application process where they were then selected as finalist, where the building principal, special education supervisor, superintendent and educational cooperative representative were interviewed by staff from the Arkansas Department of Elementary and Secondary Education’s special education unit.
The school was then selected to participate in this comprehensive and customized journey. This process includes working directly with specialists from the Dawson Education Cooperative.the intent of DESE is awarding these grants to work with schools who can the serve as models for other school districts in the state.
