The fun doesn't stop with Halloween

- By Virginia Pitts Staff Writer

This weekend through Monday, many great ghostly amusements are being hosted for Hot Spring County celebrators, but the community fun doesn’t stop with Halloween!

There are several holiday community- wide events coming up in Malvern and surrounding areas quickly following on the heels of Halloween.

House of Hosts puts together painting parties in the Donaldson/ Bismarck area this time of year. They also rent out space for Thanksgiving or Christmas gatherings. This party entertainment service will be presenting the Christmas Arts & Crafts Show on Saturday, Nov. 5 from 9 a. m.1 p. m. at 2828 Lucky Pine Road in Donaldson.

Numerous craft vendors will be offering holiday- themed items, seasonal decor, framed specialty pieces, and other handmade products for sale just in time for Christmas. The best thing about this event is that instead of charging a standard vendor fee, House of Hosts asks that all vendors bring toys to donate to the New Deroche Fire Department.

“If anyone else would like to bring toys for the fire department while they shop the vendors booth we will make sure it's gets to the fire dept.,” organizers stated. Email parties@ houseofhosts. com or mrm2307@ yahoo. com for more information.

The following weekend, Baptist Health Medical Center of HSC has cordially invited the community to take part in the 14th Annual Holiday- Christmas Extravaganza Saturday, Nov. 12 from 9 a. m.- 3 p. m. at their facility located at 1001 Schneider Dr. in Malvern.

“Come and celebrate with us in our amazing Pink Lady Gift Shop,” according to information released by Baptist HMC. “We will also have some amazing vendors onsite to help you with your holiday shopping and plenty of chances for you to win a door prize, with drawings done every half hour.”

The very next day, Samuel L. Vance & Sons Funeral Directors will be hosting the 2022 Thanksgiving Community Feast at the Malvern Senior Center, as part of “giving back to the communities we serve!”

Vance invites one and all, as the announcement released stated, “Let Us Dine & Fellowship As A Community Family.”

The event will occur 1- 3 p. m. at the Malvern Senior Center, located at 1800 W. Moline St. Organizers will be providing shuttle service for those in need who want to attend. For more information, or to schedule a shuttle ride for the day of the event, please call 501337- 0100.

If you know of other community events coming up in November, please call our offices at 501- 3377523 and let us know, so we can share that information with our readers. And be sure to have a safe, fun, and fabulous Halloween!
