Wayne Mcqueen
Wayne Mcqueen, 91, of Malvern and Mena passed away on Sunday, January 29, 2023 at his home. He was born June 7, 1931, in Malvern, the son of the late William Floyde and Lois Christeen Coston Mcqueen. He served in the US Air Force and worked as the steam plant manager for AP& L for 31 years. He was a member of Meadowview Missionary Baptist Church. Wayne was an avid fisherman and hunter. He loved gardening and was a jack of all trades. Other than his parents, he is preceded in death by his granddaughter, Rebecca West; brother, Warren Dale Mcqueen and mother of his children, Shirley Mcqueen.
Survivors, wife, Marilyn Mcqueen of Mena; sons, David Mcqueen ( Melissa) of Lakeland, FL and Michael Mcqueen ( Kelly) of Little Rock; daughters, Debra West of Malvern, Lisa Grondy ( Earl) of Malvern and Linda Mcqueen of Malvern; step- sons, Robert Wallace and Jeff Wallace; step- daughter, Annie Dickerson; grandchildren, Kevin Mcqueen ( Keri), Keith West, Rachel West, Noah Mcqueen and Deacon Mcqueen; thirteen step grandchildren; great grandchild, Layla West and numerous others and close friend of family, Mario Flores.
Visitation will be Friday, February 3 from 5: 00- 7: 00pm at Regency Funeral Home.
Services will be Saturday, February 4 at 2: 30pm at Meadowview Missionary Baptist Church with Brother Shawn Holland officiating. Burial will follow at Magnet Cove Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Pete Clark, Daniel Shellman, Jr., Bobby Lopez, Mac Murphy, Mario Flores and Earl Grundy. Honorary pallbearers will Meadowview Missionary Baptist Church Men’s Class, Noah and Deacon Mcqueen, Keith West and Kevin Mcqueen.
