Eunice “Neta” House

Eunice “Neta” House, 81, passed away on February 4, 2023, in Hot Springs. She was born October 22, 1941, in Malvern, the daughter of Fife Dewey and Clora Mae O’neal Robeson. Other than her parents, Neta is preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Freddie Scott House, brothers David Robeson, Fife Dewey “Buddy” Robeson, Jr. , sisters Pauline Kelley, Joann Sullivan, and Vivian Luejthe.

Neta is survived by brother AJ Robeson ( Carolyn), daughter Kim House Stanley, grandsons Corey Stanley and Jared Stanley, granddaugh­ter Heather Harcrow, and many very dearly loved cousins, nieces and nephews.

Neta was an active member of Magnet Cove United Methodist Church where she always volunteere­d where she could. She taught Sunday School to the youth, helped with Vacation Bible School and Sunday night youth nights.

Neta taught school for over 22 years at Rural Dale, Traskwood, then Glen Rose, teaching second, third and fourth grades during those years and serving as principal at Traskwood. She loved her students, and they loved her. She would still recognize many of them when she would see them out somewhere as adults.

Neta was a former member of Eastern Star, Extension Homemaker’s, card club, and used to love going to the Malvern Senior Center to visit with everyone. She knew a multitude of people and probably who they were related to. She was a “natural genealogis­t”.

Her hobbies included genealogy, gardening, caring for her flowers, sewing, and working puzzles to name a few.

Visitation will be at 10 a. m. followed by funeral services at 11 a. m. on Friday, February 10th at Atkinson’s Funeral Home Chapel with burial immediatel­y following at Cooper Cemetery. Pallbearer­s will be Tony Robeson, Sean Cosgrove, David Driver, Jeff House, Pete Stanley and David Burlison.
