STUDENT of the WEEK

KIMBERLY LISENBEY 7th Grade - Magnet Cove Middle School

-

Kimberly likes playing softball for Extreme Heat, playing volleyball and is a member of the trap team. She has a very supportive mom and dad and 2 brothers in 4th and 1st grades. Kimberly’s favorite classes are art and band where she plays the clarinet. One of her favorite things to do is spend time with her friends- Rylee, Kyra, Chloe, Claire, Haidyn, Aubrey & Brenley.

Kimberly will also be recognized at our March school board meeting as 7th grade Student of the Month! She learned the importance of setting an example of respectfulness and kindness because other people showed her those things by example too. Kimberly tries to always follow directions and participate in her classes, and above all she is kind. She feels accomplished and proud of herself when she overcomes her self doubt and gets a big hit in her softball games.

One of Kimberly’s goals for the future is to become a kindergarten teacher. She says she really likes that age level and they seem like they would be easier to handle than the higher grades.

When asked what advice she would give to other middle school students, Kimberly said, “I try to be nice to everyone and not mistreat other people.” She applies the Golden Rule and treats others the way she wants to be treated. About finding friends, she says find people you like that are comfortable enough that even when you disagree about things, it’s ok. It’s alright to take a step away sometimes, because we all have bad days. You know they’re good friends when you come back together and pick up right where you left off.
