August 23

Someone called police about an ongoing issue with a neighbor. The reporting person said the neighbor sprayed them with a hose and they asked officers to go talk with the neighbor.

A bear was inside a condo on Links Way. The reporting person was calling from an upstairs bedroom.

August 24

A vehicle was stolen from a parking lot on College Park Way. The reporting person said they left the vehicle, a blue 2014 Nissan Pathfinder, in the parking lot to go walk their dog. When the reporting person returned 20 minutes later the vehicle was gone.

Someone called to report their house had been painted. The reporting person said a crew was painting the house next door and had attempted to tape and cover the reporting person’s windows but had over-sprayed onto their house. The reporting person attempted to speak with the crew, but the crew did not speak English. The reporting person was calling for assistance to resolve the issue.

Someone called to report they were being harassed by their neighbor. The reporting person said their neighbor harasses and threatens them whenever they bring their kids outside to play in the yard.

August 25

Someone saw a man in green coveralls stacking branches along the side of the Civic Center. The reporting person was worried the man might be trying to start a fire.

Someone had lost an ipad. The reporting person said they were able to ping the device and it appeared o be inside a closed business on Old Mammoth Road.

An officer found an iphone on Minaret Road.

August 26

Someone noticed a bear and her cubs inside a house on Snowcrest Avenue. The reporting person said they attempted to scare off the bears, but the bear did not leave. The house did not appear to have any people inside at the time.

A homeowner called to report they could see bears inside their house on Tamarack Street via video cameras. The reporting person said the bears were still inside at the time of the call.

Someone was walking on Main Street when they were threatened by an unknown subject. The reporting person said they would wait for officers at a business on Main Street.

Someone noticed the utility bills at their home were very high. The reporting person said the home is vacant and yet the utilities are suggesting someone is using the house. The reporting person asked officers to go check on the property to see if someone was there.

Someone was running in the Shady Rest Park when they were chased by four dogs. The reporting person said the dogs belonged to a camper in a motorhome parked in the area.

August 27

Someone was moving into a condo on Old Mammoth Road and saw a man inside the condo. The reporting person was concerned the man was squatting there and said they would wait outside for officers to respond.

Someone could hear the occupants of an apartment arguing. The reporting person said the people had been yelling and it sounded like the argument had gotten physical. The reporting person wanted officers to respond.

Someone called to report an extremely drunk woman near the Mccoy gondola. The reporting person said the woman could not stand on her own, had fallen into a window and had two friends attempting to help her.

August 28

Someone called because of their “noisy” neighbors. The reporting person said their neighbors were yelling, revving their cars and talking at a high volume all night long.

Someone called to report a neighbor revving their motorcycle. The reporting person said they have a restrainin­g order to stop this behavior, but it had not been ser ved yet.

August 29

Someone called to report their neighbor attempted to run them over with their vehicle. The reporting person said they were able to move before being hit by the vehicle but did receive scrapes and refused medical attention. The reporting person said they have an ongoing issue for at least five months with the neighbor harassing and threatenin­g them.

Someone called to report the occupants of a residentia­l unit on Old Mammoth Road had been screaming all day long and they requested officers to go check on the screaming people.
