September 4

12:34 a.m. Someone called to report an intoxicate­d person on Minaret Road and said a drunk man had been kicked out and denied service.

The reporting person said they called because they wanted the cops but when asked why they needed assistance they hung up. Dispatch noted the reporting person had called 9-1-1 twice and hung up.

1:42 a.m. Someone called to report a disturbanc­e on Meridian Boulevard and said they could hear yelling and screaming coming from the parking lot and it sounded like a group of three to four people.

12:16 p.m. Someone called to report a traffic collision on Main Street and said two vehicles had been involved in an accident and a truck pulling a boat had left the scene. The driver of the other vehicle followed the truck but was scared to approach the driver to exchange informatio­n.

4:51 p.m. Someone called to report a traffic collision on Old Mammoth Road and said a vehicle had rolled into a gray Tesla and there were no occupants in either vehicle.

7:25 p.m. Someone called to report an intoxicate­d person on Old Mammoth Road and said a drunk man was ‘cussing and aggressive’ inside the restaurant.

September 5

12:17 p.m. Someone called to request contact on Mill Street and said they had concerns about the dirt bikes on Panorama Dome Trail and a fire ring that was set up on Mill Street. The reporting person said they had already spoken with the Forest Service and was advised to notify officers.

4:48 p.m. Someone called to report an animal issue on Grindelwal­d Road and said some dogs were barking inside a house. Dispatch noted dogs could be heard during the call.

6:54 p.m. Someone called to report a DUI on Sherwin Creek Road and said the driver of a white Ram rounded the loop at a high rate of speed and had to slam on their brakes before nearly hitting them and their two children on the road. The reporting person said they confronted the driver and could smell alcohol and when asked if they had been drinking the driver replied ‘a ton.’

10:40 p.m. Someone called to report a restrainin­g order incident and said the restrained party entered the home put them in a headlock and took their phone and truck. The reporting person said they did not need medical attention.

September 6

2:07 a.m. Someone called to report domestic violence and said they had been hit and pushed by their partner. The reporting person said they are in separate rooms but the kids were at home and witnessed the incident.

3:45 a.m. Someone called to report an intoxicate­d person on Main Street and said a man was screaming, yelling and hitting the walls of the motel. The reporting person said the manager attempted to speak with the man but was afraid to go outside with him.

11:59 a.m. A Mammoth Lakes Police officer stopped on Mill Street to check into a report of illegal camping and a fire issue.

September 7

8:16 a.m. A Mammoth Lakes Police officer stopped on Meridian Boulevard to check on a vehicle.

12:36 p.m. A Mammoth Lakes Police officer stopped on Sierra Park Road and Meridian Boulevard to assist with traffic enforcemen­t.

8:43 p.m. Someone called to report a bear on Rainbow Lane and said a mother bear was trapped in a stairwell and the cub was outside.

September 8

3:08 a.m. Someone called to report an animal issue on Old Mammoth Road and said they could hear an animal making loud noises. The reporting person could not distinguis­h what type of animal it was. Dispatch noted the animal could be heard screaming in the background.

3:42 p.m. Someone called to report a trespasser on Lupin Street and said someone had broken into a residentia­l unit. The reporting person said housekeepe­rs had walked in to clean and found the subject inside.

5:09 p.m. Someone called to request assistance on Mono Street and said they would like an officer to keep the peace while they picked up their belongings.

6:28 p.m. Someone called to request medical aid on Lake Mary Road and said they had been flagged down by someone who said a bicyclist had gone down and was injured badly.

7:45 p.m. Someone called to report a bear on Mountain Boulevard and said a bear was in the trash and it appeared to be a mama bear with two cubs.

8:52 p.m. Someone called to report a bear on Sierra Boulevard and said a mama bear and three cubs were on top of a trailer going through the cooler.

9:09 p.m. Someone called to request assistance on Lake Mary Road and said their Jeep Wrangler had broken down and was in the middle of the road.

September 9

1:27 p.m. Someone called to report a suspicious person on S.R. 203 and said a subject was walking in traffic, swinging trash bags and was nearly hit by the reporting person.

8:35 p.m. Someone called to report an intoxicate­d person on Main Street and said they could hear a drunk man outside screaming and yelling.

9:14 p.m. Someone called to request medical aid on Minaret Road and said a woman had fallen off her bike, hurt her leg and had hit her head. The reporting person said the woman was talking.

September 10

1:23 a.m. Someone called to report a noise complaint on Sawmill Cutoff and said a loud wedding party was going on and they had been advised a couple of times already to quiet down. The reporting person was asking for an officer to drive through the area to assist.

4:46 a.m. Someone called to report an intoxicate­d person on Main Street and said a male subject was running around the building banging on the doors and screaming something about his hand. The reporting person said the man might be injured.

1:54 p.m. Someone called to report an open door on Alexander Lane and said the back door to the neighbor’s house had been open for a couple of days.
