-

Tamara “Tammy” Hanes Vollmer, 73, passed away on September 6, 2023, at the Kingman Regional Medical Center in Arizona. Although she was fearlessly battling Leukemia for a year and half, a spontaneous cerebral hemorrhage was the catalyst that directed her to the other side. At the time of her passing, she resided between Big Pine and Mammoth Lakes, California.

Tammy was born on May 18, 1950, in Torrance, California, the daughter of Lloyd and Betty Goddard. She graduated from Torrance High School in 1968. She retired from United Airlines In 2004, after 27 years of service – a place where she cultivated many beautiful memories and lovely friendships.

Dog lover, world traveler, sailor, diver, skier, camper, seamstress, gardener, artist, avid reader, and Reiki Master – Tammy was a gifted and compassionate woman who often assisted people in need. She had a vibrant aura and when she smiled, you felt compelled to smile back.

Tammy is survived by her son and his wife: Jeff and Athena Mcghan, her daughter and son-in-law: Jeanna and Javier Martinez, four grandchildren: Sebastian, Triston, Aidan, and Isabella, two siblings: Keith and Sharon, and many cousins, nephews, nieces, and beloved friends.

Just five weeks prior to Tammy’s passing, she lost her partner, Rob Vanatta, to cancer. A gathering of remembrance for both will be held on Saturday, September 23, 2023 In Mammoth Lakes.
