8:36 a.m. Someone called to report suspicious people on Pyramid Peak Drive and said two white vehicles were parked in the driveway and a man and woman were walking around the property.

2:25 p.m. Someone called to report suspicious circumstan­ces on Saint Anton Circle and said they had received an alert on their phone saying the garage door had been opened and closed earlier in the morning and they had just received the alert again. The reporting person said the property should be vacant.

2:28 p.m. Someone called to request a welfare check on Minaret Road and said a woman inside a parked silver hatchback was hysterical­ly yelling and was not making sense.

11:26 p.m. Someone called to report smoke on Sierra Nevada Road and said smoke was coming into their house and they believed it was coming from the neighbor’s house.

October 3

2:55 p.m. A Mammoth Lakes Police officer stopped on Canyon Boulevard to issue a stop work notice.

5:02 p.m. Someone called to report a bear on Azimuth Drive and said a bear was up a tree in the neighbor’s yard and a dog was at the base of the tree barking, preventing the bear from coming down.

9:48 p.m. A Mammoth Lakes Police officer stopped on Old Mammoth Road to check on a pedestrian at a bus stop.

October 4

9:10 a.m. Someone called to report a burglary on Sanctuary and said someone attempted to break in at the front door and ruined the door. The reporting person said they have had issues in the past with break-ins.

2:58 p.m. A Mammoth Lakes Police officer stopped on Golden Creek Road for an issue with a work permit.

October 5

8:34 a.m. Someone called to report a fire on Old Mammoth Road and said they could see flames coming out the back of a tractor trailer.

9:28 a.m. Someone called to report a bear on Mono Street and said a bear was lying by a dumpster ‘enjoying’ the garbage.

10:11 p.m. Someone called to report a suspicious person on Hillside Drive and said a man wearing a blue t-shirt was trying to break the door in.

October 6

2:16 a.m. Someone called to report a noise complaint on Main Street and said that someone was ‘blasting’ loud music downstairs and no one should be in the building.

11:38 a.m. Someone called to report an animal issue on Tyrol Lane and said a black and white Australian Shepherd had followed them home. The reporting person said the dog was not wearing a collar.

8:16 p.m. A Mammoth Lakes Police officer stopped on Meridian Boulevard to check on a report of people entering the building through an open window.

8:54 p.m. Someone called to report a disturbanc­e on Sierra Park Road and said two students had been involved in a physical altercatio­n and they were told by a third party that one of the students had a knife.

October 7

10:03 a.m. A Mammoth Lakes Police officer stopped on Mountain Boulevard to check on a vehicle.

12:17 p.m. Someone called to report a bear on Lake Mary Road and said a bear had taken a backpack and was about 10 yards off the path.

3:07 p.m. Someone called to report a bear on Canyon Boulevard and said some baby bears were in the dumpster.

3:41 p.m. Someone called to request a welfare check on Mono Street and said they had not seen their neighbor for three weeks and at the time of the call the car alarm was going off.

4:05 p.m. Someone called to report vandalism on Meridian Boulevard and said a group of five kids were spray painting a tree and the ground near the skate park.

7:43 p.m. Someone called to report a disturbanc­e on Old Mammoth Road and said they could hear two people yelling and it had been going on for over an hour.

October 8

1:33 p.m. A Mammoth Lakes Police officer stopped at a campground to issue a parking citation.

2:35 p.m. Someone called to request medical aid on Laurel Mountain Road and said a woman had stopped breathing.
