8:45 a.m. Someone called to report found property on Main Street and said several days ago a guest had left behind a glock magazine with ammunition. The reporting person said the items had not been claimed by previous guests.

10:13 a.m. Someone called to report a possible hazard on S.R. 203 and said large pieces of lumber were in the middle of the road.

8:18 p.m. A Mammoth Lakes Police officer stopped on Old Mammoth Road to scare off a bear.

November 7

9:49 a.m. A Mammoth Lakes Police officer stopped on Old Mammoth Road to issue a citation.

2:16 p.m. Someone called to request assistance on Meridian Boulevard and said their cables had broken and was waiting for parts. The reporting person said their big rig was blocking both lanes of traffic.

7:34 p.m. Someone called to report a bear on Old Mammoth Road and said a bear was in a tree and some people were throwing rocks at it.

8:30 p.m. A Mammoth Lakes Police officer stopped on Main Street to check on a vehicle.

November 8

1:57 p.m. Someone called to report an animal issue on Main Street and said a white Husky was running loose in the area. The reporting person said the dog was wearing a collar but was too skittish to get close to.

7:12 p.m. Someone called to report a traffic collision on U.S 395 in the southbound lane north of Sherwin Grade and said a single vehicle had rolled over and off the road. The reporting person said the driver was standing by the vehicle but would not speak to them.

8:44 p.m. Someone called to report a bear on Trails End Road and said two bears were inside their blue Subaru.

November 9

9:44 a.m. roadway.

10:08 a.m. A Mammoth Lakes Police officer stopped on Alpine Circle to issue a citation.

11:22 a.m. Someone called to request assistance on Chateau Road and said they would like an officer present to keep the peace while they picked up some of their belongings.

4:35 p.m. Someone called to report an assault on Chateau Road and said their minor child was playing football in the parking lot when they were grabbed by the neck. The reporting person said the child had scratches on their neck but did not need medical attention.

7:08 p.m. Someone called to report a hit and run on Minaret Road and said the driver of a Volkswagen had hit the front passenger side of a Toyota Highlander. The reporting person said they were able to follow the subject before they turned off the road.

A Mammoth Lakes Police officer stopped on Mountain Boulevard to respond to a report of a disturbanc­e.

2:43 p.m. A Mammoth Lakes Police officer stopped on Minaret Road to check on a report of a parking complaint.

November 11

9:16 a.m. Someone called to report vandalism on Main Street and said a male subject attempted to use a fake ID and it was confiscate­d so the subject went outside and threw a bottle at the window.

12:54 p.m. A Mammoth Lakes Police officer stopped on Thompsons Way to drop of a dog that was found off Scenic Loop.

2:03 p.m. Someone called to report a reckless driver on Meridian Boulevard and said the driver of a tan Dodge truck had nearly hit multiple vehicles. The reporting person said the truck was last seen turning near the library.

5:05 p.m. Someone called to report a traffic collision on Hillside Drive and said the driver of a black Land Rover had hit their vehicle.

5:23 p.m. Someone called to report a suspicious person on Main Street and said the driver of a tan Sprinter van had been following them. The reporting person said they had made multiple reports in the past already and they are unwilling to leave their location without an officer present.

10:17 p.m. Someone called to report suspicious circumstan­ces on Meridian Boulevard and said a subject was a danger to themselves and others. The reporting person said the subject had assaulted them the night before and was currently upstairs screaming and punching themselves.

November 12

12:05 a.m. Someone called to report a noise complaint on Hidden Valley Road and said a guest had stated a party was being held next door and they were playing loud music.

12:09 a.m. Someone called to report a disturbanc­e on Minaret Road and said they had been placed in a chokehold and thrown out for not tipping the bartenders.

10:29 a.m. A Mammoth Lakes Police officer stopped on Minaret Road to issue a parking citation. 12:45 p.m. Someone called to report a suspicious person on Main Street and said they had picked up a man wearing all black clothing and military style boots and the subject attempted to assault them inside the vehicle. The reporting person said the subject had started acting ‘strange’ prior to being dropped off.

1:29 p.m. Someone called to report a theft on Old Mammoth Road and said a bike was stolen from the front of the store. The reporting person said the bike had multiple stickers on the center post and was going to review security footage.

7:57 p.m. Someone called to report an abandoned vehicle on Sherwin Creek Road and said a vehicle had been unoccupied for the past five hours and looks to have been abandoned.

10:46 p.m. Someone called to report suspicious circumstan­ces on Main Street and said a group of four to five people were climbing on the roofs of multiple buildings. The reporting person said they group was attempting to climb to the roof of the bus stop at the time of the call.
