Public skates for free at the Community Recreation Center opening celebration
Free admissions, rentals and skate aids subject to availability at the new LA Kings Ice at Mammoth Lakes on Nov. 24
For more than 20 years, the Town of Mammoth Lakes has been actively searching for a permanent home for an indoor ice rink and multi-use facility – one that would enhance the quality of life for residents and visitors with year-round access to high-quality and innovative indoor recreational programs and activities. After breaking ground on April 21, 2021, the Town is ready to unveil phase one of this new year-round recreation facility to the community. The Mammoth Lakes community is invited to the opening celebration of the Community Recreation Center on “ICE” Friday, November 24.
Complimentary parking and EV charging (standard rates apply) is available at the Community Recreation Center Mobility Hub, located at Mammoth Creek Park, 686 Old Mammoth Road, Mammoth Lakes, CA 93546.
Schedule of Events:
Ribbon Cutting Ceremony – 3 p.m.
Official opening of the Community Recreation Center by Town Council, the Planning and Economic Development Commission, Parks and Recreation Commission, Mammoth Lakes Recreation, community stakeholders, recreation advocates, supporters, and sponsors.
Free Skate Night – 4 – 9:30 p.m.
Enjoy complimentary ice skating at the new LA Kings Ice at Mammoth Lakes - free admissions, rentals and skate aids subject to availability. Hot chocolate, snacks and give-a-ways will be available from our sponsors with The Rolling Chef 395 on site for purchase.
Skate session times: 4 – 5:30 p.m., 6 – 7:30 p.m. and 8 – 9:30 p.m.
