There are better ways to fight systemic racism
I can appreciate the anger and hurt some people feel when confronted with statues, monuments and street names that appear to honor both past and present racism. In addition, I can also empathize with their desire to destroy or change them.
However, I believe there are better and far more positive ways forward. For example, one could volunteer to mentor underprivileged children of all races to help them achieve their dreams and goals. It seems to me that would have a more lasting and meaningful effect.
