A Novato woman was arrested on allegations of intoxicated driving after a crash that killed two people in Lake County, authorities said.

Keilah Marie Coyle is scheduled to be arraigned this afternoon on charges of vehicular manslaughter and causing great bodily injury by driving under the influence, said Lake County District Attorney Susan Krones.

“These are the preliminary charges we have now,” Krones said. “The investigation is still ongoing.”

Coyle remains in custody in lieu of $2 million bail.

The crash happened at about 11 p.m. Saturday on Highway 29 near Middletown, according to a California Highway Patrol report. Coyle, heading south in a Ford F-250 pickup truck, drifted over the solid double yellow lines, the CHP said.

The truck hit a GMC van heading north. The occupants of the van were pronounced dead at the scene.

The victims were identified as Clearlake residents Miguel Maciel Dominguez, 47, and Cassandra Elaine Rolicheck, 53, said Lt. Corey Paulich of the Lake County Sheriff’s Office.

Coyle suffered minor injuries and was arrested after officers noticed signs of alcohol intoxication.

The highway was closed for about five hours during the crash investigation and cleanup.

Earlier Saturday, Coyle was identified as the suspect in a hitand-run collision in Sonoma County, police said. She allegedly made an unsafe lane change on Highway 101 south of Gravenstein Highway and sideswiped another vehicle, said CHP Officer David Derutte.

The victims were uninjured. They followed Coyle’s pickup and recorded her license plate, Derutte said.

“Our officer contacted the victims and then went down to the address in Novato to follow up to see if she went home,” he said. “She was not there. He talked to family that was there. She already called and told whoever at the house she had been in a crash. So we are positive it was her, we just never contacted her.”

Coyle graduated from San Marin High School in 2016 and works at a veterinary clinic, according to her Facebook page. Her family or attorney could not be reached for comment.
