Connie Nosby Rossman
Connie Nosby Rossman passed away on March 26, 2021 in San Rafael, CA. She was 89.
Born in Minneapolis, MN, Connie attended the University of Minnesota, then moved to the Bay Area. After several years in San Francisco and Oakland, she met the man she would marry. Don and Connie married in 1960, settled in San Anselmo, and had two children. Connie was a devoted wife and mother, and focused on the family, while making time for a rich social life with many dear friends. She also loved volunteering, taking art classes, gardening, and working on home improvement projects.
The family moved to Charlton, NY, where they restored their colonial farmhouse and Connie became interested in antiques and local history. She started working as a dental receptionist, a career she continued for nearly 30 years.
When they returned to Marin, Don and Connie remodeled several houses, and she loved to paint landscapes of Marin and scenes from their extensive travels. Connie was a member of the Indian Valley Artist Association (now MOCA), and for 10 years, she was a docent at the Marin County Civic Center, where she shared her passion for Frank Lloyd Wright’s architecture with her guests.
Connie is survived by her husband of 61 years, Donald Rossman; her son Todd Rossman and his wife Sandy; daughter Jennifer Rieble and her husband Mark; grandchildren Michelle, Drew, Jessica, and Sarah; and her sister, Lois Lockhart.
Due to COVID-19, there will be no services. Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
