Gina Daly is best choice for District 1 supervisor

I urge San Rafael residents to support Gina Daly for District 1 supervisor. Daly and I serve together on the San Rafael City Schools Board of Education. I see how she works tirelessly for our families and students. She asks tough questions and puts the well-being of our children at the center of every decision the board makes. She has been a key advocate for bringing diversity to the school board and the administration.

In my tenure as a public servant and immigrant advocate, I've witnessed how our local elected officials make decisions and engage with the community. I've also been part of closed session meetings with Daly, where crucial topics are discussed away from the public eye. She is, without a doubt, one of the most effective, compassionate and engaged public servants I've ever worked with. Daly is always prepared and dependable. She understands policymaking and can see the big picture. Daly finds those oftenoverlooked issues causing harm to those who need our help most.

The pandemic has highlighted issues that have existed for too long in Marin County. We need elected leaders with the political courage to serve our community and tackle climate change, homelessness and equity, among other issues. We need new ideas and a supervisor who can be a leader and work collaboratively with the rest of the board and our dedicated county employees.

In addition to her many years of service at the local level, Daly has two decades of professional experience at the state and federal levels and can help create lasting solutions to the issues facing us. She is prepared, trustworthy and ready for any challenge.

She will be an excellent representative for all families in Marin County. Vote Gina Daly for District 1 supervisor.
