Eleanor Louise Venton died at home at age 93. She was under Hospice Care. Born in Petaluma to a family primarily in the chicken business (the Tennyson's and

Olufs), she grew up in Penngrove. Her family had roots in the island of Fohr and were known to be hardworkin­g people. Eleanor is survived by three adult children, Larry (Donna), Linda and Sheryl Venton. Sadly, her son Gregg

(Kathy) passed away a few days before Eleanor. She is also survived by her brother in law Ron Heidinger (Kathy), five beloved grandchild­ren, Carly, John (Rebecca), Danielle, Jeff and Zachary (Allison). Lights of her life were her great grandchild­ren Delaney, Jack, Teddy and Mason. She had nieces, nephews and cousins too

numerous to mention. Married at age 22 to Jack Gregg Venton, she settled into living in Novato where she assisted her husband in his plastering business until his death in 1984. She continued active in the business with her son Larry until he and his children took over. Eleanor enjoyed the Russian River, dancing and camping.

She was known for her gardening, cooking, baking and hospitalit­y. She loved travelling and visited most continents. A big part of Eleanor's life was teaching others about the Bible. She was a member of the Novato Congregati­on of Jehovah's Witnesses the majority of her adult

life. Memorial arrangemen­ts are at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses at 5 Pivato Ct., Novato on October 22, 2022. at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributi­ons can be made to JW.org or the

charity of your choice.
