Age 56 Petaluma, CA

Jolene Marie Borders, 56, gained her wings on January 26, 2024, at home surrounded by her loving family. Her battle with cancer was a testament to her courage and strength. She faced life’s challenges with a smile and with grace, fought until the end.

Jolene was born on January 13, 1968, in Santa Rosa, California. She grew up on the family dairy in Valley Ford. She attended Tomales High School and went on to attend Santa Rosa Junior College, later earning an associate degree at Empire Business College in Santa Rosa CA. In her youth, she enjoyed competing in volleyball, basketball, and softball along with showing her cows in 4-H at the local fairs.

In 1993, Jolene married the love of her life, Bruce. They were blessed with two beautiful daughters, Kelsey, and Carlie. She was a caring, loving wife and mother, who cherished family time together. She enjoyed traveling and looked forward to family vacations. Her favorite destinations were always warm and tropical, perfect for spending time outdoors in the sun. When not gathering with family, she was diligently working beside Bruce in their family business.

She was a fantastic listener and conversationalist, the last to leave a gathering. She was also an avid shopper, always looking for a good deal and loved watching sports and her daily game shows.

Jolene cherished her numerous friendships and embraced her community.

She is survived by her husband Bruce, daughters, Kelsey [Chris] Bottini and Carlie Borders, parents, Paul Bianchi and Kathy Sorensen, sisters Karen Bianchi-Moreda and Shelly Bianchi- [Rick] Williamson, and brother, Stephen Bianchi. She was dearly loved by her numerous nieces and nephews. Her generous and inspiring spirit, and enthusiasm for life will live on.

Please join the family in honoring her life. On Thursday, February 8, 2024, at 3 pm, a rosary will be held at St. Vincent de Paul Church in Petaluma, California. On Friday, February 9, 2024, at 11 am, a funeral mass will be held at St. Vincent de Paul. Following the service, a gathering to celebrate her life will take place at the Petaluma Elks Lodge.
