Soccer season wrapped up on Saturday with the Marin Catholic girls team making program history by claiming its first NorCal championship following a win in the Division IV title game.

The San Domenico boys basketball team was also victorious on Saturday and remains alive in the D-V playoffs.

The Archie Williams boys soccer team and the Redwood girls basketball team also picked up NorCal victories last week. SLOANE CAREY, AVA KORICH AND BRIANNA FRADE, MARIN CATHOLIC GIRLS SOCCER >> MC, making its NorCal playoff debut this season, needed to pick up three wins in five days to claim the D-IV title. The Wildcats got a number of big goals and assists from the attacking trio of Carey, Korich and Frade en route to the title. A 4-1 quarterfinal win over Live Oak saw Korich and Frade score goals with Carey and Frade getting assists. A 1-0 overtime win against Kerman was decided when Korich took a corner kick and Frade's shot found its way into the back of the net for the game winner. That combination worked again in the final

against Everett Alvarez, this time in reverse with Frade setting up Korich for the opening goal. MC had to work overtime again, winning the title when Carey scored in the 10th minute of extra time.

GAVIN EARLY AND OMAR WILLIAMS, SAN DOMENICO BOYS BASKETBALL >> Early put together a trio of monster double-doubles as the Panthers won their first three NorCal D-V playoff games last week to advance to Tuesday's championship game.
