Another 15,576 votes have been added to the total counted in Marin County's primary election on March 7.

Measure D, which will affirm and implement a rentcontrol ordinance in Larkspur, continued to pad its narrow margin of victory. The vote now stands at 51.21% in favor. The measure needs a simple majority to pass.

Measure A, the $517 million bond measure that is failing in the Tamalpais Union High School District,

requires 55% support to pass. The yes vote stands at 52.48%.

San Anselmo Councilmember Brian Colbert, who dominated the field of candidates seeking to succeed Supervisor Katie Rice, continues to add to his lead. Colbert now has 43.2% of the vote. Heather McPhail Sridharan, who is in second place, saw her share of the vote remain virtually unchanged. Gabe Paulson, who finished third, fell a bit further behind McPhail Sridharan with his share of vote diminishing to 16.56%.

Colbert must secure

a simple majority to be declared the winner. Otherwise, the top two vote-getters will face off in a November runoff election.

The yes vote for Measure F, which asked San Anselmo residents if they want to withdraw the town from Marin County Flood Control and Water Conservation District Zone 9, dropped again to 60.57%. It has now lost nearly 2.5 percentage points since election night, but it requires only a simple majority to pass.

Marin County Registrar of Voters Lynda Roberts said Monday that the elections department has counted 64,114 ballots so far and has at least another 27,090 ballots still to count.

The bulk of the remaining ballots, 20,617, are voteby-mail ballots that arrived on or before Election Day. Another 5,750 of the ballots left to count arrived by mail since Election Day. Ballots postmarked on or before Election Day will be accepted for seven days following the election.

There are also 289 conditional ballots and 34 provisional ballots to be counted. Roberts said the vote count will be updated again on Wednesday.
