Where to celebrate St. Patrick's Day in Marin and beyond

Did someone say shamrocks and shenanigan­s? St. Patrick's Day is just around the corner, so get ready to experience all that Irish fun right from the comfort of the Bay. From parades and festivals to block parties, here are all the Celtic celebratio­ns to check out for some mean, green fun this March.

WAKE THE DEAD SHOW>> 7:30 p.m. Friday, Rancho Nicasio, 1 Old Rancheria Road, Nicasio. Northern California band Wake the Dead blends traditiona­l Celtic music and the songs of the Grateful Dead at its concert. Admission is $25. Go to ranchonica­sio.com.

ST. PATRICK'S WEEKEND PARTY>> Friday through Sunday, Mac's at 19 Broadway, Fairfax. Mac's at 19 Broadway's St. Patrick's weekend festivitie­s include performanc­es by the Tom Finch Group (9 p.m. Friday), the Sucker MCs for “Snoop Patrick's Day” (9 p.m. Saturday) and the Road Runners (6 p.m. Sunday).
