SR's Tolliver staves off Archie Williams rally

Jack Evans' solo home run made things exciting in the late going, but ace Marcos Tolliver and host San Rafael made an early lead hold up in Tuesday's 3-2 baseball victory over Archie Williams. The Bulldogs took a 3-0 lead in the second inning, and Tolliver pitched five scoreless innings for the win. Tolliver struck out eight batters and walked two, while he gave up four hits.

The Peregrine Falcons (8-7, 6-4 MCAL) busted the shutout in the top of the sixth inning, when Miki Accomazzo brought around Jackson Oliver-Roa. Evans blasted a solo home run in the seventh.

Lazlo Clements and Dylan Thorpe each had two hits and an RBI for the Bulldogs (4-12-1, 2-7-1).

• Redwood High racked up a 9-2 victory over rival

Tam as the top two teams in the MCAL squared off on Tuesday. The Giants' Jack Moseley homered and drove in two runs.. Theo Trono was 3-for-4 with a double and an RBI for Redwood (14-2, 10-1 MCAL). The first-place Giants are scheduled to host Montgomery on Wednesday before Friday's home game against Tam (10-6-1, 7-2-1).

• Novato scored in the bottom of the eighth inning to earn a 2-1 victory over the Branson School (412, 1-11). Hornets sophomore Cohen Garcia doubled and singled, while Joshua DeVore and Cash Campbell each had an RBI for thirdplace Novato (11-6, 7-3). Tom Lardner doubled and singled, and scored Cooper Tenney for Branson's lone run.

• Tanner O'Keefe struck out four batters as he pitched a complete game three-hitter in San Marin's 9-2 victory over Terra Linda. At the plate, O'Keefe was 2-for-3 with an RBI and two runs scored. Zade Hubbs was 3-for-4 for the Mustangs (10-7, 6-4). Alex Rambo, Jonah Truett and Hayden Biesiadeck­i each had a hit for the Trojans (0-16, 0-11).

• Marin Catholic senior pitcher Liam Smith announced on social media Monday that he has committed to play at the University of the Pacific. Smith has a 1.40 ERA with a 5-1 record for the Wildcats this season.

• San Domenico (3-5, 1-2 BCL) forfeited its game Tuesday against University (11-5, 5-0), which is tied with Lick-Wilmerding for the Bay Counties League West lead.

• Marin Academy scored in the top of the seventh, but the Wildcats' rally effort fell short in Tuesday's 3-1 loss to Stuart Hall. The

Wildcats (1-9, 0-4 BCL) host Stuart Hall on Friday at Albert Park.

College baseball

Benny Nazario and Matteo Bellisimo homered in the third inning to boost College of Marin past rival Solano, 7-2, on Tuesday in Kentfield. Wyatt Davis was 2-for-4 with two RBIs and two runs scored for the Mariners (25-10, 14-2 BVC). Andrew Henderson threw 3 1/3 scoreless innings for the win. Henderson struck out three batters and allowed two hits. Marin's Sebastian Elsner struck out four batters and scattered three hits in 4 2/3 innings.

Boys lacrosse

Marin Academy racked up a 16-4 victory over Tam on Tuesday in a warmup for the North Coast Section playoffs. The Wildcats (8-5) are ranked fifth in the NCS Division I standings, with

Tam (6-10) ranked ninth.

• Marin Catholic rolled to a 19-1 victory over Terra zLinda on Tuesday.

Girls lacrosse

Marin Catholic rolled to a 18-3 victory over Terra Linda on Tuesday. The Wildcats (12-3, 5-1 MCAL) were coming off Monday's 23-10 non-league win against Davis. The Trojans (3-6-1, 1-4) will try to snap a three-game skid on Thursday against Novato. Meanwhile, Branson beat San Rafael 17-2 on Tuesday.

Boys tennis

San Domenico picked up a landmark 3-2 win against rival Marin Academy on Tuesday. The Panthers' Toby Sadzeck earned a 7-5, 6-3 win at No. 1 singles, while Gavin Kennedy won 6-0, 6-4 at No. 2 singles. San Domenico's Parker Sadzeck completed the sweep of singles play with a hard-fought

6-0, 1-6, 11-9 win at No. 3.

Prep badminton

San Domenico swept Drew, 9-0, on Tuesday. The Panthers are scheduled to play their final home game of the season on Thursday.

Boys golf

Derek Newhall shot a 39 at Meadow Club on Monday to lead Terra Linda past Archie Williams, 207254. Sean Madden, Stephen Roeck, Kaden Martin and Tyler Davis all tied at 42 for the Trojans (11-2). Graham Snipes paced the Peregrine Falcons (2-12) with a 46.

• Charlie Wilhelm's 5-under 31 carried Marin Academy past rival San Domenico, 147-202, on Tuesday at Peacock Gap. Dylan Siegel and Charlie Hansen came around at 37 and 28, respective­ly, for the Wildcats (9-0). The Panthers (26) were paced by Butchie Long's 46.
