‘Stellarbration’
Collect, collaborate and create
MARSHALL COUNTY — Lieutenant Governor of Indiana Suzanne Crouch joined Marshall County Thursday for the “Stellarbration” celebrating the Marshall County Crossroads Regional Stellar Designation 2019.
Mayor Mark Senter, Marshall County Commissioner Kevin Overmyer, Grant Writer and Administrator of Priority Project Resources Shannon McLeod, community leaders and Stellar enthusiasts throughout Marshall County gathered at the Marshall County Community Building in Argos to share congratulations, review the projects planned for Marshall County, and partake of food, desserts and beverages catered by Argos restaurant The Log House.
Among those who attended the event was Bremen Principal Bruce Jennings with the four students from the Bremen Youth Leadership team who attended the presentation in Indianapolis back in November; Corey Schmidt, Kelsey Lawmaster, Courtney Lawmaster and Jasmine Gramm.
Lt. Gov. Crouch congratulated Marshall County for their designation and highlighted the positive impact that Marshall County will have on future generations and serve as an inspiration to other communities in Indiana that strive for improvement. “You have achieved great success here in Marshall County. You are proof to the rest of the state that when they come together and collaborate, they can achieve great success also. That’s what you have done here in Marshall County and for that you all should be so very very proud of yourselves.
Your endeavors are going to create greater economic opportunities. They are going to create jobs that are going to increase property values and bring tourists to your downtown.
But it’s also about the future. By your collaborating and partnering, you are now preparing and promoting that future generation so that they can accomplish even greater things in life.
What is so great about Marshall County, is what is so great about Indiana and that is our people. Hoosiers all across our great state. Hard working men and women who know that when we come together and we work together, we can build that better tomorrow.
So just as you all are working every single day to make your communities and to make your county better for your children and your grandchildren; Governor (Eric) Holcomb and I want
to walk alongside you and work with you so that together we can leave Indiana better for future generations.”
Lt. Gov. Crouch concluded her remarks with, “Congratulations, Merry Christmas, God bless you, God bless Indiana, and God bless our United States of America.”
The “Stellarbration” concluded with Lt. Gov. Crouch cutting the ribbon for the Marshall County Community Building in Argos. The building is now open for events and functions.
