Holden, Seifert wed
Eileen and Dennis Holden of Waldorf announce the marriage of their daughter, Sara Marie Holden, to Charles Marvin Seifert III, son of Wendy Seifert and Charles Seifert Jr. of Mechanicsville.
The wedding ceremony took place 5 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 17, 2016, at Flora Corner Farm, Mechanicsville. Dinner and reception followed at Flora Corner Farm.
The bride was given in marriage by her father, Dennis T. Holden, and mother, Eileen Holden, and escorted by her father. The Honorable W. Louis Hennessy officiated. Joseph Meszaros provided music for the ceremony. Grace Elizabeth Holden, sister of the bride, read an “Apache Wedding Blessing.”
Maid of honor was Mary Holden of Waldorf, sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Grace Holden, Kodie Hayes and Kathleen Seifert.
Best man was Mitchell Seifert of Hughesville, brother of the groom. Groomsmen were Matthew Holden, brother of the bride, Andrew Gantt, Mark Barrows and Bradley Tennyson.
The bride is a graduate of Towson University and employed as fourth grade teacher with Charles County Public Schools. She is the granddaughter of Shirley Jean Gill of Sea Isle City, N.J.
The groom is a graduate of Towson University and employed as realtor with RE/MAX in Waldorf. He is the grandson of Katie and Bill Sparks of Montross, Va.
The couple honeymooned in Virginia Beach, Va., and reside in LaPlata.
