La Plata man charged with assault, false imprisonment
Allegedly held wife against her will for two weeks
A La Plata man was arrested on a warrant Tuesday after allegedly assaulting his wife and holding her against her will for about two weeks, according to court records.
On Monday, the victim, who still had significant swelling and bruises on her face, went to the Charles County Sheriff’s Office to report the abuse, naming Dwight Hunter Galloway Jr., 46, of La Plata as her attacker, charging documents state.
At the station, the victim told police her account of the events.
