La Plata resident turns 100 today
Daniel J. “Dan” Leone, of La Plata, celebrates his 100th birthday today. Leone was born April 1, 1916 in Boston and moved to Maryland around 1991 to be closer to his now deceased wife Ada’s family.
Leone is a weekly bowler, enjoys tending to his garden, cooking and wood working. Leone attributes his longevity to “good clean living.” Leone has one son, Daniel J. Leone, Jr., of New Hampshire and Florida; two grandchildren, Kim Wilkinson and Keith Leone; and four great-grandchildren, Cameron and Alexandra Brier and Zachary and Scarlett Leone.
